Fire Ed Lamb

After last night I'm fully on getting him on the train out of here. 5-30 at UNC and a below .500 coaching record overall? He's a bad coach. I'm done hearing "we're getting better" like it's groundhogs day.

No we're not, it's the same thing every single season. Play close-ish and lose in a stupid way. The fans turned up yesterday, and we gave them that.

Can someone at UNC get serious about our football team? Lamb needs to go back to Utah, and we need to find a good D2 coach who is ready to step up to the next level. And not another below average coach who can't actually consistently win at his previous jobs but says the right things.

This is going to be another long season, so, thanks for trying Ed, but at the end of this season that will also result in 3-4 wins you need to leave.

Oh and kickers are important to recruit. Not sure if you knew that Ed, but just for a heads up at the next place you work.

Also, Dunn; you need to find someone who can coach and not just "say the right things". You keep hiring all hat, and no cattle coaches.

Brutal, there are 100 high school kids right now in CO that can make 1 of 2 extra points at a minimum... bush league like always...

The level of play and discipline have improved the past two years under Lamb. Kicking, yeah, that is going to hurt us if it doesn't get improved. Nothing in regards to missing those were the same in each instance.

However, UNC has been at a talent disadvantage for awhile and in today's world you can still correct that through development which Lamb has done. That I don't have an issue with. The improvement on both the OL and DL I think have proven that.

The problem we have is with more talented players to work with. With the current state of NIL in college football, UNC and their donors will most likely have to pony up or figure out a way to bring more money in to get better athletes on the field.

It's no secret we can't compete with the likes of the Montana schools as they have considerably more funds and donors who can get those funds to the program. It's something that will most likely not be fixed with a new coach. Especially if they come in and want to change things around enough to where we enter into a new rebuilding phase for the program. That "could" put us back another few years regarding how that can go.

Ed has stuck to his plan for the team which competes in one of the top two toughest conferences in FCS. Like I stated above, overall there has been improvement. Let's sit back and see how the Bears do over the next few games. Also, let's see how well Weber State does. They are another team that I believe have just enough resources to make a turnaround happen faster in their program. They might very well be a decent team in the conference.

My issue is that we're losing games the exact same way. Weber State is rebuilding, and at home and at night- we needed to win that.

And yeah, not firing him now- but getting this out there before we only win 3-4 games again and he needs to go.

I think it was also a coaching mistake to not go for 2 at the end. At home, momentum, and your kicker has been bad. Even if he makes it here, I'm not trusting him for a 30 yard FG to tie or take the lead in OT when the Weber State kicker is nailing everything. It's conservative, loser football and a larger issue with Lamb. He's the safe "maybe .500 level at best" coach.

UNC looked like a disciplined, solid team. Good Luck vs. South Dakota, you owe them after last year's result. Wildcat's D is their weakness with the young, mostly new team. Had the game continued, the Bears would have likely got the W. Game 1 to Game 2 usually shows improvements made. Get the W for your team & the BSC!

Expect WSU's weakness will show this week against SUU's strong run game style. Also expect a UNC rebound win at home to ease the pain a little.
