Marshall is a known flip-flopper...who ever is last in a conversation to convince him wins. In this case, Ms. Parker met with Marshall on Friday - and Coach O was let go the next morning.
I would also call myself an insider and if everyone on this board really knew how this all went down, my guess would be the support for Marshall and staff would be a little less rah rah...
Also want to apologize to those SDHornet - should not have called you an idiot or insinulated that you smoked pot or worked at 7-11, but you are still clueless around this topic and you don't know what really happened. If you did, you might as hot under the collar as I am (former player and builder of the program). It is really outrageous....

to answer your question i spoke with a current player who said sperbeck met with returning lb's and the d line bout the change and they were told the program was going in a different direction. he told me they were all to stunned given the credentials of both baiz and o to ask any questions and left the meeting quiet and suprised.
to all:
lets just say i have an inside scoop on things...
i agree with the statement made about sperbecks personality to control things. He has been that way since he got there. If you date back to gary uribe who was a great well respected coach, was let go cause he didnt wash sperbeck's feet. same with old lb's coach josh brown. All of the remaining coach at this time with no disrespect to them are sperbeck followers. parker is the same way. since he got there he has quickly lost the respect of individuals once he was placed in charge of the d. Did he put a good product on the field this year...yah but those werent his guys those were the maturation of baiz's coaching as well as the rest of the staff. when sperbeck realized who parker was and they began to think about what they could do to make things the way they wanted they made the decisions they did. Sperbeck's lack for character will catch up with him quickly. word of mouth travels quickly especially amongst local players and coaches.
in the end i wish the hornets the best but i think the recent coaching changes are going to haunt them in more ways then they know!
I can't think of any underclassmen "stars" on the DL or LB core...
