As long as it doesn't rain, I'm sure (hoping) there will be more fans than at the UM game. While watching the Northwestern/Michigan St. game I saw a thing of beauty...one entire side of the Northwestern stadium was all in purple. Only once have I ever seen something like that at Weber State (2003 Big Sky Conference Championship game against EWU...that was a great game; Supaman). I wish Weber could get the stands filled and in purple on Saturday. I can't believe how good, and exciting, this team is and nobody comes to the games??? Its just doesn't afflilct the football team, but all Weber State athletics (the basketball team is no longer coached by Dull Cravens and his constant motion offense)...What is wrong with the community? Are Ogdenites embarrased to be Weber fans?? What ticks me off the worse is Weber State students that support other Utah teams over their own school!! If you like Utah, Utah State, or BYU so much goooo there!! You go to Weber, you might as well enjoy it. You only get one chance at college, you might as well make the most of it where ever you're at. Its like the students at Weber are constantly having wet dreams about other schools...I will admit that I do cheer for other Utah schools, but not over Weber. I graduated from Weber State. Its my school, and I'm damn proud to be a Wildcat...Go Cats!!! Beat the Bears!

I saw SMJ bring up the 5% discount on the MSU thread.

For every touchdown scored on Saturday vs UNC their will be 5% off WSU gear at the bookstore the following Monday.

U just need to show a student ID card or your game ticket for the discount. I went in there last Monday and got 30% off after the UM game, it was pretty cool!

Quincy Wofford (db) appears to be a pretty good player for the bears. Leading the nation in 1-AA kick-off returns at 29.8, we could see some big plays between him and Eteuati (26.4)

Our special teams better get their heads out... NOW would be a good time to step up and show what they can do by successfully containing Wofford. So far, special teams have made almost as many mistakes as the ISU defense.

We need improved special teams performance to win the the playoffs.

Hey Native, are you and Mrs. Native coming up to the game?

Mrs. Native has to work. There is a 50/50 chance that Native Jr. and I will drive up to see his brother play. Hope the weather holds out as forecasted!

I hope the cats score 7 to 8 TD's so I can do some Christmas shopping @ the bookstore next Monday!! So far, the weather looks to be clear with temps in the upper 60's.

Hey Native, the weather is going to be great! If you do come up...hopefully a group of us will be tailgating, you should come chill and have some dews.

Sounds like a plan! What time do you get started?

I hope the team isnt over-looking the UNC-Bears the way most of us fans are. Hopefully some UNC players or Coaches will give WSU some bullitin board material the way Montana state did. But then again its probably only some fans who are over-looking the Bears anyway.

Northern Colorado (1-4, 1-2 Big Sky) at No.18 Weber State (5-2, 3-0 Big Sky), 3:05 p.m.

One of the teams yet to see the fruits of its labor in terms of wins in the Big Sky this season has been Northern Colorado. The Bears have lost three games by a combined total of 10 points.

The Bears will be squaring off with Weber State for just the third time in school history when the two square off Saturday in Ogden, UT. The Wildcats claimed a 23-0 shutout win over the Bears last season, but struggled to get a 26-21 win over the Bears in the inaugural meeting between the two back in 2006.

Northern Colorado, coming off an impressive 29-9 league win over Idaho State, played its most complete game on both sides of the ball in the win. Offensively, the Bears have been solid this season (377 yards per game), especially passing the football, as the Bears boast the nation's 32nd ranked passing attack (246 yards per game).

Quarterback Bryan Waggener (1,229 passing yards, 10 TD's and six interceptions) has been a large factor in that success, while boasting a trio of solid receiving targets in Corey Fauver (19 catches, 15 yards per reception, and two TD's), Ryan Chesla (20 catches,13 yards per catch and one TD) and Brandon Smith (17 catches, 15 yards per catch and a team-best three TD receptions).

The defense has been strong against the run this season (125 yards per game) and has also had some success against the pass (second in Big Sky in pass efficiency defense), and the unit has been led by senior linebacker Christian Sarmento (59 tackles 5.5 tackles-for-loss and four sacks).

Coming off a 35-12 win in Bozeman, MT., the Wildcats showed little sign of having a post-Montana-win hangover. However, with each win, the trap game seems to loom on the horizon, and that's the case against this week against Northern Colorado.

Offensively, the efforts of signal-caller Cameron Higgins (2,121 yards passing, 23 TD's and five interceptions) and Treyvn Smith (647 yards rushing and eight TD's to lead the Big Sky) have certainly been the foundations upon which the league's top-ranked scoring offense (37 points per game) have been centered around.

The defense has played well at times this season, ranking fourth in the Big Sky in yards allowed (349 yards per game) after ranking second in the league in the same category last fall (348 yards per game). Defensive end Kevin Linehan (five sacks) keys one of the league's top pass rushes, while safety Beau Hadley (52 tackles and two interceptions) leads the unit in tackles and interceptions.

Weber State is on a roll and should have the confidence to outlast a hard- working Northern Colorado squad.

Weber State 38, Northern Colorado 24
