85-81 WSU leads with 2 minutes to go. Lill's 37 points is the 5th most points scored in a single game by a Wildcat and his new career high.

So where does he stand with 41?

Great individual game for Dame. I know Stan Mayhew in 1977 put up 45 against Utah State. So maybe third behind "The Show"? Don't know for sure.

Oh, I see catcat has the stats

Let's just rename the team the Damian Lillard Wildcats, because the rest of Weber State stinks! We're going to get our butts handed to us if we play like this against BYU. Why are we playing so BAD!???! :nutkick:

Poor shot selection. And it goes for everybody. Scott, Kyle and even Dame sometimes, all settle for cheap threes and jump shots instead of running the offense. And don't even get me started on Fulton. That guy doesn't understand the concept of ball movement and refuses to pass once he touches the ball. He thinks he's effing Shaq. That was one of the most incredible games I've ever been to, but I don't know why I left with such a disappointed feeling. :wtf:

So how long is Bullinger out? If he misses significant time, who starts in his place. I am hearing dislocated elbow, which I'm guessing could leave him out a few weeks at least.

Piss poor start, piss poor offense, bamforth and bullinger still look terrible.

Put piss poor defense on there as well. Our offense = hack up many 3s and pray.

They were good shots, just not falling

:bad: No, no, no, no, no my friend, not at this juncture. These were the hucked up shots by Fulton, Bullinger, and Bamforth the 1st 10 minutes of the game. We would come down, 1 pass and chuck up an off balance 3 with a hand in their face. I would agree that the 3 point shot selection was much better as well as running the offense in the 2nd half.

Bull is probably out for about 3 weeks. Good question about who will start and how they'll adjust the rotation.

bull out really hurts. we need his rebounding. bam has been bear hugged ever since he dropped 7 bombs on usu. need others to contribute. we will be ok. we just need to be patient. cant be hatin on our team. they are 5-1. futlon needs more minutes. i think he could get in a groove with more minutes.

so who can play the 3 with bull out for a bit? or should i expect a 3 guard lineup like what we normally see?

SJSU is not as horrible as some of you are thinking. They were quite athletic, skilled and had size. I also think that we made them look better than they are by taking a few rushed shots in the first half. However, look at the poise we played with, after our starting 3, a senior captain, went down with a game ending injury. And, by the way, I saw a slowMo of the play where he got injured, and the SJSU player didn't touch him. He just came down awkwardly, to make it look like he must have been pushed or undercut. The refs got it right. It really pains me to say that, but its true. If we would have had that same reffing at St Mary's, we would have won by 20. They did a good job tonight. :coffee:

I think we will see a little more of Fulton and a little more of Brown. It was a little tough for Brown tonight, with the quickness of the SJSU guards. He'll do better.

I hope they'll both benefit from a little more game time, which would in turn benefit the team. Brown needs a chance to work out the jitters.

We could really use Berry right about now.

I agree that Fulton and Brown will play better with more time on the court. We are going to need them in the BSC wars.

It was good to see Mahoney back into the game tonight. he sure as he ll played his a$$ off. Tres has come a long way. I noticed we got the ball to him alot at the beg of the game. His shots were not falling along with everyone else's.. we'll get there

Tresnak has been a stud. Short of his poor free-throw shooting, which wasn't terrible last night (2-of-3). He's the first aggressive-scoring big we've had since Patten.
And holy crap, Damian's stat line was sick. Not just the 41 points, but 8 boards, 4 assists, 1 block and 2 steals! I don't care if Weber does choke again come Big Sky tourney time, if he doesn't win MVP, it would be a crying shame.

I keep saying I hate overtime games, but there arent any games as exciting as OT games.

That #33 for SJSU pulled a Scotty B vs Utah State on us, everything he threw up went in, man what a player, San Jose has an overall really decent team, they are way better than Utah State.

It sucks K-Bull went down, I hope he isnt out long.

Scotty B missed like 3 threes by less than an inch last night, its hard to fault him for that, even when he misses he is accurate.

Was dissapointed in the size of the crowd, (5,765) but at least they were loud when they needed to be.

I think we are winning over the Utah fans, I saw a lot of people wearing Utah Utes gear at the game on Saturday

You are right cat, with Bull being out, it is really going to hurt...is there a chance that coach benches him for the remainder of the year and tries for a Medical Hardship, or does he come back before conference? I have heard that there is an outside chance he will be able to play against ISU on the 29th.

I'm really getting sick of the Bull bashing. His three 3 point attempts were barely off mark. Personally, I thought they were all going to go down. Those are the type of shots that will start falling. He is our top rebounder, one of our best defenders, and a guy who will never stop working.

As a team, the Cats aren't shooting that great. However, a lot of those shots are going to start falling for them. Bam has been hounded in every game since USU. Which has helped open up Lillard. If Tres can become more consisten with some of his shots, he is playing great and is becoming a force in the middle, then the Cats will have multiple options. Fulton will have to play time at the 3, along with Rahe going to a 3 guard line up to balance out the 3 spot while Bull heals up.

Mook will be playing more of the 3 position, Mahoney will start at the 4, and rumor has it that Wheelwright will come off the "redshirt". Bull should be out for the next 3-4 weeks. :ohno:

Why not leave Wheelwright on the redshirt list? If Bull is back by the new year he'll only miss 2 Big Sky games. Rahe already has a 8 or 9 he can play. Give Mook some minutes at the 3 and run some 3 guard sets with Bamforth, Lilliard and Richardson.
