It’s not a situation where we’re just losing, it’s that we can’t even be competitive. Of the 7 losses, only Montana State and Portland State were games where we actually competed. You can’t point to a single position group that doesn’t look well below their peers on other teams. It’s a total disaster. One thing Idaho shows is that in modern college football, you can regroup quickly in the transfer portal. Whether we want to or not, we need more talent badly. Getting some defensive coaches who know how to stop the run is also critical. It didn’t even feel like an abnormally bad game by the defense yesterday, and it was 308 rushing yards given up.
