Gameday Thread UNC @ SUU

Kyle Sloter has been wide open all game, would have had 3 easy TD's if they just looked at him. It's unreal how many passes they have missed!!!!

Nevermind, Sounders game is over. Now I'm unhappy with myself. I could have watched the Sounders beat Vancouver for the Cascadia Cup...and I watched this instead.

Mccandyman- welcome to the real season. Typical you would be foolishly confident after two wins against slouch teams. I should've emphasized the difference between scheduled wins to save face and the real world conference schedule. At least you beat western state and Houston baptist. Impressive.

Didn't get to watch much of the game, but saw the box score. Did anyone bother to tell our quarterbacks that we were in the white shirts today?

I didn't watch the game, but listened to most of it. I'm pissed off not so much for the play calling. The players did not execute. The coaches were not the ones who threw 5 interceptions. I am upset however that we haven't been able to recruit good enough players to beat Southern Utah. We have a higher budget, etc., yet we can't get players good enough to beat a consistent mid-level program. Until we can beat S. Utah, Sac State, Weber St, this program is going no where. It's not a budget thing, it's not a facilities thing. It's a not getting a coaching staff that can bring in better players thing.

SUU ran a much better version of the hurry up. I don't know why our coaches have our players looking so lost that our hurry up feels painfully slow, whereas SUU was moving so quickly with the ball our D had no chance.

Maybe, but that's no excuse for 5 interceptions.

Well yeah 5 int there is no excuse for that, I'm just observing what I'm seeing in general for the offense. There is no direction with this team. If they are going to institute a spread uptempo offense- we should at least see it.

Good points, Beardown and SLenz. I went to the Rocky Mountain Showdown last night so I missed the Bears game. After reading a few different game stories and the box score, I have a few thoughts.

1. Trae Riek is our most explosive/talented player, and his absence was definitely felt by the Bears. The ground game should get back on track with him and Davis back healthy.

2. If you have two quarterbacks, you don't have one. Collins needs to pick a guy and stick with him.

3. 5 turnovers is disgusting.

4. I feel like the defense played fine. Can't do much when the offense turns it over five times.

5. If our backfield, and specifically Riek, is 100 percent healthy I still feel pretty good about getting a W against Weber at home next week. If he's not ready to go, our chances decrease significantly.

Go Bears

I agree we need all of our running backs healthy, but the most important position on the field is the QB. Boyer better get his boys back on track.

After reviewing the schedule at the beginning of the season, I thought we had potential wins with Western, HBU, SUU, Weber, Sac State and Abilene. After SUU I doubt the rest. On paper Weber looks good. Abilene put 49 points on HBU. I'm still optimistic that we will get a win somewhere, but that's it. Kerr's defense is playing well. Boyer's Offense is an epic failure! Where is our depth? Boyer should be cleaning his desk out, surely we depth on the coaching staff.

Hey Mccandyman, where are you now? You must have finally realized this is the real season now huh? no more below average teams to beat now are there?
