OK - I think I am probably going to make the trip up north this Saturday to see the Wildcats play. I am looking for some advice:

1. Where is the best place to sit ?
2. Are they playing in the Holt arena or in their small gym?
3. What about parking?
4. How much are tickets? Any deals out there?
5. Exactly, how long is the drive from Ogden?

Thank you.

1. they make all the WSU fans sit up far away from the court in the dark. IF you are wearing WSU gear at ticket window they wont sale you seats in any other section besides the WSU section.
2. Holt
3. plan on paying around $5 for parking
4. On ISU's website it shpws $15 per ticket.
5. 1 &1/2 hrs depending on how fast you drive and IF you stop to get lotto tickets.

The WSU wildcat Club is taking a bus up but i dont remember the price.

I think the price of the bus trip, for Students is $28 and for WCC $45...maybe it is the same price for both. I think I will be making the trip north with a bunch of friends and me lady. Unfortunately, for the first time in years, Bengalhater won't be going. :wtf: He couldn't obtain a kitchen pass. :doh:

$15??? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL ISU must be pulling a USU. Get more $$$ from traveling fans, cause we all know the ISU fans would never pay that much to watch their team.

waldo,

go for sure!!!!! i highly recommend going to poca! its a lot of fun especially since we have had good size crowds there every year rahe has been here. i went in 2003, 2006 (yikes), 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010. every yr was fun. never had a bad experience. isu has good/nice fans.

another fun thing about going, we usually win! i think we are 4-2 in those games i have seen or 5-1.

here is 2010 game when the players came into the crowd after a triple overtime win:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn_5FN6HkSU&feature=player_embedded" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the isu employees are the ones to steer clear of. ushers can be a pain, especially if ur in their section enjoying the win for more than 30 seconds after the game. lol. aj is right about wearing purple. unless you get a tkt from wsu and go on one of the busses do what i have done in the past. cover up that purple and act like an isu fan at the tkt booth. buy what ever tkt you want then go sit in the wsu section. i remember one year, i think 2010 i got a cheaper tkt behind the goal but some wsu fans behind me were only allowed to buy in the wsu section which i had learned in yr's past.

isu can be a real pain...but its never the fans. one year, i think 2008, the purple pak called to get the group rate which is $5 if you buy 25 or more. after the call, shortly after, the group rate was no longer available on their website for the weber game. any other game thogh it was still available. :ohno: so i think someone at isu tkt office got in trouble for that and so to avoid more annoyance, the purple pak advisor drove up to poca a week before the game and bought the 50 tkts for the students. :roll:

so go early have fun and cheer loud. you will be in the corner in the upper section. its not that bad but they have a railing to keep upper fans out of the lower area. isu doesnt get very good attendance so you will have plenty of room. between them not being very good and when they started charging for parking it hurt the attendance. so you make $5 per car but less cars are coming in these days. :wall:

not $45.

$28 or optional maddox makes it $38. but its a wclub only, yes? it is not a student bus.

i think isu's tkt price of $15 FOR WEBER FANS has been that way for a while now. :roll:

their tkt site has changed. it doesnt even make sense. it only shows GA tkts for $15. what if you want a lower section? lol

http://ev15.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS%3AIDSU%3ABB11%3AB11%3A&linkID=idsu&shopperContext=&pc=&caller=&appCode=&groupCode=MBB&cgc=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

they have 4 home games left. weber n psu at holt then sac n ewu at reed. i would rather watch the game in reed. its more fun since its a small gym so its lower n more fun n not a dungeon. also reed gives isu a good home court advantage. crowd is loud and can affect the game. not so much in the football dome with 2,500 fans there. also reed is high school regulation so i would call that another advantage since they are used to it.

Okay, so I was wrong. Actually, ISU usually sells individual tkts for 16 and for WSU they are selling them for 15.

I disagree. I think the Lolt is a far better venue. Reed reminds me of a high school gym. ISU deserves more respect than PSU and SAC and their pathetic gyms. ISU has a storied tradition and I love playing them. Further more, Holt, if the fans show up, can get really loud. The Reed is trashy and not indicative of DI basketball.

Saturday night is "Whiteout Weber" again like last year as long as you wear a white shirt when buying your tickets they are half price, $8.

you are right and that is the very reason they only use reed unless they have to. reed is lame and it also is bad for parking and why they stopped using it in 2003. but still, reed has a way better home court advantage. you have been in both so you can agree or disagree. but 2,500 in a 3,500 gym vs 2,500 in a 12,000 dome that is much much bigger than the dee. put 2,500 fans in stewart stadium and attach a roof. :lol:

i really hope one day isu can get a bball only facility.

any white shirt from home will work

My wife and I are thinking about going, but I haven't been up there since I covered a football game against ISU four years ago. We would prefer to sit among the craziest and largest pack of Weber fans, so does anyone have some suggestions? Would we be better off going on that bus trip or just buying tix when we get there? And how bad are the seats where they isolate the WSU fans?

ISU usually sticks Weber fans in the northeast corner. Almost behind the north basket. It isn't too bad. I'll take it. The bus...hmmm...I'm not so sure. I'm kinda contemplating it myself, but... :roll:

Gotcha. And yeah, the bus is definitely a last resort for me. Ever have those family get togethers where there is a million little kids running around, screaming and making your blood boil? That's kind of how those Purple Pak bus trips are. :shocking:

It's official. We are going. Should we get our tix online or just get them at Holt? We want to be sure we are sitting in the WSU section. Would we be running a risk of not getting tix by getting them there due to limited tickets for WSU fans?
