These recruits were lured to PSU by the prospect of playing in front of a sold out crowd for each of their home games...too bad for them they weren't told how many sold out means. At PSU sold-out games equals less than 2K. Then again, that's an average arena in the Big West.
No problem. PSU players get their fix at the NCAA tournaments.

Is the Glenn Dean that is headed to Easten Washington the same one who was at one time headed to Portland State?

Cataldo and Tapscott inked their letters.

Both outstanding signees. Vikings are looking to be a very tough team next year. I would like to see a point guard be signed for next year, as Melvin Jones isn't a true point guard.

Best classes in every D-I conference

Nice job coach Geving and staff! :D (They don't mention our signing of Tapscott either, who some believe is the best JC player in the Northwest.) :D

Big Sky Conference

Best class: Portland State
Players signed: 1
Top player: Brandon Cataldo (Rainier, Ore./Rainier), a 6-10 center, has the size and skill to dominate the moment he steps on campus.
Why it's the best: Montana has three solid recruits coming in next season, but when you can snag a center who could have played in the Pac-10 in the massive Cataldo, Portland State gets the nod for the No. 1 class.

I'm excited for this class, but I think we may have to wait to see their impact until Nelson and Jones are gone. It's nice to get one of the top 5 players (Tapscott, Jacobsen, Cataldo) in Oregon 3 years in a row, but they'll need to get more hs guys to sustain some momentum.
