Greetings from a Cowboy

Hello Bear fans. A cowboy here. I finished my undergrad at UNC, and my Doctoral at Wyoming (I am originally from Wyoming). I go to a couple UNC games a year.

Tough loss yesterday for the Bears. How do you think your defense will hold Bret Smith and company in check?

I don't think we will. I watched the Wyoming-Nebraska game thinking we are going to get destroyed, and that was before we lost to Pueblo.

Lobato seemed to have a good day throwing the ball, minus the 2 pick 6's.

How many people will UNC travel to U of W?

I was going to go before we lost to an RMAC team. I'll save my money and not go and watch us get killed.

I still regret not going to a Wyoming game when I lived in Colorado. Made it to CU, CSU and Air Force but never Laramie. If I still lived in Colorado, I would be more likely to go to an away game at Laramie than to Nottingham field. I suspect there well be a few hundred UNC supporters but that's about it.

Every Bear fan that makes it up to Laramie will be treated well. Wyoming people love their Pokes, but aren't obnoxious about it. Having said that, we've had some douchbag students mouth off, but usually to bitter rivals. It's only a 96-mile drive from Greely to Laramie (via US 287), about 1 hour, 46 minutes (according to Google). So I encourage all Bear fans to come up to the Gem City and support your boys.

There are only family and friends anymore, no fans to speak of in all reality. 8)
