Griz QB leaving program

Montana's starting QB last year, Gresch Jensen, is transferring out of Missoula.

No word on where or why. Rumors and scuttlebutt have him going to CWU possibly.

In a conference where returning quarterbacks are valuable, this has to be a big blow for the Grizzlies. They did have a transfer from UNLV in spring camp but Jensen was penciled in to be the starter for the season.

We did a great job last year of making him seem All-World.

Interesting. Hopefully this year we will have a better showing. Sounds like defense is a highlight from Spring so far. I hope that is true and not just a result of an all new O-line...since coach announced we are going to be young again this year

Rumors have cooled on Jensen going to CWU, being that they already poached EWU backup (and former Camas standout) Reilly Hennessey.

Griz fans are saying Jensen probably is going to stay DI, either FBS or FCS. They asked me about him coming to Portland State but I don't see it happening this late, with our trio of hopefuls (Koetter, Eason and Alexander). Maybe before spring ball, but not now.

If he went to another Big Sky school, does he need to sit a year?

I'm thinking he would have to sit out a year if he stays at D1. He definitely did not enroll anywhere for spring term.
