Gubrud suspended

Am surprised nothing else has occurred this season, it is odd that it's the team captains. Were they at each other's throats? Not unheard of for defense and offense to go at it when losses pile up.
 
Emotions are running high... I cannot imagine the pressure those kids are feeling. They are the captains of an EWU team that is 5-4 right now. We are getting awfully close to the same W/L as 2015, a year many Eag Nation fans would like to have forgotten. Both of these players were on the team during that year and I'm sure they had the "never again" mentality. Very disappointed in all of this... I just hope we can make the play offs.

Man... I know no sane person wants to goto Grand Forks..

but these 2 really didn't want to go there.. I don't blame them. I admire them!

ps- ewu will win last 2, get in playoffs and make some noise... thats my prediction.

Imagine if this had occurred the prior week and they were allowed to play against Weber. I'd bet your fans would be outraged.

I stand corrected. They were cited at the scene, not hauled off to jail. How dumb can you act to not leave a cop alone when he is doing his job? Hopefully this is quite a lesson learned.
 
This ranks pretty high on my "I'm disappointed" scale.

It also ranks pretty high on my "Give EB3 a chance" scale.
 
As disappointing as this is, looking on the bright side, it's time to see what we have.

Look this can go a couple ways...EB3 could dominate and this could be the start of his era at EWU, or he could struggle and Gage could come back humbled and refocused and carry us the rest of the way either way I see OPEN competition for the spring.
