Hey Bears!

Looking forward to hosting y'all out here this Saturday. Glad to see UNC on the schedule again in 2008. Any questions about the Ags, leave 'em here, I'll try to get the boys at AggieSportsTalk.com in on the conversation.

Oh yeah, Toomey Field is done with, but you guys already know that.

Welcome to Aggie Stadium:

I'm gonna try to predict how we will lose this game:

With about 10 seconds left we will have the chance to win the game by kicking a field goal. The field goal attempt will go about 25 yards and be well short but will be caught by a Davis player who will run it back for the score to seal our fate.

y'all sounds depressed...just so you know, we're 1-4.

That's an awesome looking stadium.

Our losses have been quite impressive. We are attempting to find a way to lose really close games in every way possible.

Week 1 vs. San Jose State (L 10-13) - Lost on last second play on 4th qtr drive.
Week 2 vs. Central Arkansas (L 21-24) - Lost on last minute interception by our QB, were in field goal range for tie.
Week 3 vs. Portland State (W 38-24) - Played well enough to win at home, but PSU could've easily had 4 interceptions that night.
Week 4 vs. Montana (L 24-29) - Had 4th qtr lead, defense got picked apart when in counted most.
Week 5 vs. Northeastern (L 10-27) - QB combined for 4 INT and 2 fumbles in the rain...did not score in qtrs 2,3 or 4.

While it hasn't been creative, it's still really friggin' disappointing.

Nice place you got there! I was at the game in '05 and I remember thinking, " Nice town, but what a tiny stadium."
I'd wish you luck this weekend but, I gotta back my Bears.

I'm not depressed this year--I'm just disgusted. Now last year was a different story, I was depressed then after being shut out and losing to Chadron state by 30+ points at home and then being completely dominated in every game except the one MSU gave us.

Nice to hear from a Davis fan. Great new stadium - that is impressive. ANyone know if this part of a home and home deal or is Davis paying us off? As for the game, I give Davis the benefit of the doubt that last week was as abomination (that was a very bad loss in my opinion) and will handle the bears by 14 or so.

I'll go with UNC down 4 with a 1:20 left to play. Woods running free at the 3 yard line about to score. Downing yells at him to say great job. Woods looking at Downing bounces the ball off his own knee. Ball through the back of the endzone for a touchback. UCD runs out the clock.

I'd give my right... well you know what for 1 win so no sympathy here. We're the sad sacks of college football.

Not sure how we'll lose this one, hopefully they just beat us by 3 or 4 touchdowns and it's not another heartbreaker, my voice can't take it and I'm sick of being pissed off all weekend. :x

If they just put us out of our misery early then I can laugh about it.

But in the last couple years it's been oddly curious we've actually played better in the road a lot of times. We didn't win of course, but a lot more closer games and then we'd come home and get crushed.

So maybe we'll be in this one until then end and then give up a 10 lateral K.O. return to lose or something.

It's a shame that we are not in the same conference as UCD. They seem to have a nicer group of fans than some of the Big Sky teams.

I hear ya but we did luckily get away from NDSU and SDSU who have the most arrogant fans in FCS other than Montana. Unfortunately, we have to deal with UM which more than makes up for the "loss" of the xdsu's. I'm not sure what's going on with NDSU but I saw they dropped out of the top 25--now that is awesome!

I've had a mixed bag with NDSU fans, some arrogant, some cool, but pretty much all the SDSU fans I've encountered have been first class.

I've been fighting battles defending the honor of UNC with fans for years on the internet, yes I know, futile at best... but have found the ND State fans the worst by far. SD State used to be pretty nice but have become more arrogant when it relates to football but grow silent when basketball season comes around. Montana fans are numerous and boisterous but they have all the bragging rights so what can you say, Montana State seems to have the inferiority complex and always seem to have a chip on their shoulder. The others are all pretty low key, never had any issues with any except that Portland State guy that would come on here all the time got to be annoying.

Living in Maryland and Virginia, I actually have to put up with JMU and Delaware fans. Those FCS fans are very arrogant but they also do well and pack their stadiums so they have a right to be.

That's hillarious! I can just picture it
