Hello from Davis!!!

Yeah, I read it and a good number of the comments yesterday. I'm torn on it, though, as someone who marched, loves college bands and enjoys some of the antics. There's a fine line there, though, as evidenced by the Wisconsin band recently. I think both sides are in the wrong, but I'm wondering what in the world the guy expected.

Frustrated because he didn't have the power to expel out-of-control musicians from the student-run band, Slabaugh took the unusual step of filing a sexual harassment complaint with the university in May.

The Cal Aggie band is a "hostile work environment," he wrote.

What a loser! If he doesn't like his work environment, he should quit. Granted, the school should sanction the band, but if the director can't relate to students, and has no managerial skills, he should never have been hired in the first place.
