What up Viks!
Well, we stunk it up against Western Washington. We dropped a lot of balls, overthrew receivers, committed dumb personal fouls, and had a ton of rookie mistakes including fumbles and a secondary that gave up so many 10 yard chunks it was too hard to watch. Some bright spots were our running game, the big plays we had, and our run defense.
So, is McNeese the real deal as advertised? Or did you guys just have issues in the red zone? We had issues finishing drives. They either got stalled by a stupid turnover, a bad pass, a dropped pass, or in one instance...pass happy play calling. Our scores came off of 3 big plays: a huge run by #9 Trombetta, and deep balls to #1 Chris Carter and #2 Brandon Rice (who dropped 2 very key passes in the game).
Am looking forward to the main event up in Portland. I will be there with my Ptown buddies.
p.s. - we're still having a QB identity crisis.
