Hornets at EWOO...

Its obvious this team does perform better at home than on the road. In a way, I kind of expected this past weekend's results. I did see however that our defense was not all that bad against a very good Portland State team, who was at home. We just did not show up at Eastern on both sides of the ball.

I hope they regroup and come out firing tomorrow night against UM.

Okay, I lied about that being my last post, but let me defend myself here. When BBall provided rational I thanked him and said that was good news. But the "Powerhouse" adjective describing the Delta program and "Incredible coach" describing Katz is a bit over the top when you consider the program has won no State titles nor was it nationally ranked. And Incredible doesnt describe a coach who has had close to 90% of his players go on to play DI and he's never won a State title with them. It may sound like I'm bashing Katz but I'm just responding to what I see and hear. Let's say Delta was a conference power and Katz did an incredible job sustaining that success over the course of his time there. I'm fine with that. Let's hope his relationship with Wanless will allow him to create that same kind of success at the next level. Now I'm on board with what BBall is saying if that's what he was trying to say.

Let's get the facts straight. 90% of his former players did not go on to play D1. 90% of his players went on to play at four year schools. Either by scholarship, partial scholarship or other means. 95% or more of his former players also graduated from Delta College before they went on to four year schools which makes me wonder why Calton and Edwards turned up academically ineligible.

And over 80% of his Delta players went on to play ball at 4 year schools. 80% might be an understatement but you get my drift, that's impressive.

I would just like to say that I never said D1 schools, I said 4 year schools.
