Great job bringing in MBT -yards 0-2 and both passes not even close. Is this what everyone is excited about that was pathetic.

Where were you on his first pass? Once we got to midfield, the O Line fell asleep.

thank you. He obviously isnt the starter for a reason. He practices everyday like every other player and he hasn't earned the starting spot for a reason.

Everyone needs to get him off the tit (excuse my language) and quit blaming Smith for all the problems. This looks like itll be a learning year as Sperbecks first season was. Hopefully they can turn it around in the rest of conf. play

And SACTOHORNETALUM- Congrats one good pass! Well give him a brownie for the gain of 14 to put us in better punt position.

The bottom line...Weber's offense is just too good. And I cant really tell if their second string is really good..or because our guys have given up in this game.

You Smith-jockers are sooooo hypocritical! You think he's a failure after 3 passes!?

You've been knocking people that think MBT needed some snaps for only giving smith 5 games... Give me break.

No but you people blowing MBT havnt been to all the scrimmages and practices and havent seen what he does. Hes slower then S***. Yeah he has a hell of an arm and has some touch sometimes...but thats it. Hes made horrible decisions and cant manage the game at all. Hes only thrown 1 ball this game that a reciever has actually touched. Quit giving up on the Offense we have won games with and done good with and trying to out wit the coaches. MBT's been given chances and nothing has come from it. Support your Hornets and what theyve done

Wow, you make it so hard to take you seriously...

He has two completions, so there goes your 1 touched ball theory.

I support the Hornets and don't think Jason is the biggest problem this team has, but how on Earth can you be utterly opposed to giving the ball to an unknown backup in a 42-7 game?

Hey I've been one of the last people to throw Smith under the bus, but after today's performace it's obvious his ability has peaked and i don't expect him to grow much more. He has started every game this season and has shown marginal improvement at most. The problem I see with BOTH QB's is that they both have their mind made up to who they are throwing it to before the snap. That's obvious becuase neither QB takes the time to read the defense and make a a play. The glaring difference I see between the two QB's is the mobility...however, MBT is taller so you don't have to roll him out to allow him to see down field. With that said, this team has beaten two lower tier conference teams and has not even been competitive with the top notch teams.

Also MBT has a mullet, that's a huge negative in my book. :P

Coaches need to call a better game on both sides.
No blitz to put pressure on the QB
Need to take toone out of game double up on him
Play calling horrible they were successful on O throwing underneath as well as crossing patterns. We always get deep ball happy when we are successful the first couple of times.
We threw 1 screen and gained +10 and thats it.
Running was working, as well as play action off of it, but we still on second down do a straight drop.
If the coaches are so hell bent on going deep they need to mix in some 15 yard come backs to possibly set up hitch and go.
Penalties killed
Defense needs to play man coverage with the safties deep this zone kills us because they pick us apart and stop playing 1/4 and worried we can't man up beacuse i think we can if we put pressure.

im not opposing it at all. Id also give loeliger some time too. But people who think he should be the starter need to look at the facts and quit selling out Smith. Right now MBT looks like crap. But so did Smith at times. But quit selling Smith out and trying to hand MBT the starting role. Smith earned the starting spot and MBT has the same chance at earning it as well. Put in loeliger and run the clock out. The end.

Smith has earned the starting spot. All 4 QBs had a chance to earn it and they havent. They a mediocre team this year and everyone bases there opinion on last years success just like i have. But in no way is any of this Smiths fault. Hes had a horrible game but MBT hasnt done any better.

You are absolutely correct. This has bugged me for quite a while...the "Im calling a play and sticking with it come hell or high water" attitude. Against good teams, they rip us apart all day in doing that...and they have so far this year.

ill agree with that as well. Basically both QB's arent showing anything that shows improvement or beneficial to this team. Maybe we should go to a run heavy offense. The veer possibly??

Kadeezy and all you other people who think MBT is better have know idea what football is. You all just look at statistics and have know idea about the other aspects of the game. If MBT hadn't started for UCLA because the starting and backup QB's got hurt, you wouldn't be talking. Obviously he left for a reason like the new head coach basically said You won't be getting any playing time, I wonder why.
