Idaho Scouting Report

JC speed is a stretch, but they will find out first hand.

Also, I'm pretty sure UI gets a lot of JC players.

What's more, does anyone really believe that lower-level WAC players are any more talented than the average kid playing at EWU, UM, MSU, etc?

Their fans sure seem to. I'm pretty sure that in their minds, they're on Boise State's level.

I kinda feel bad for Idaho because they have been screwed over in the conference shuffle and they need every win they can get.

Unfortunately for them they are going to lose the game, and it could easily be by a couple TD's depending on how quickly Pardon adjusts to the new offense. If Pardon is the QB I think he is going to be there is no way Idaho stops our passing game with the receivers we have.

I'm excited for the game and I think it's gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Idaho being at Home in the dome will win only because of the depth of the vandals.

I feel we have one of the most experienced group of linebackers and above average corners that we haven't had since coming into FBS.

I feel idaho OL looks much improved from the lumps they took last year.

Our quarter back has much better arm and can move a little outside the pocket.

Great depth @ DT and Rush end.

TE and HB have good experience.

Game's within a touchdown idaho wins.

* Do you guys run high speed offense(oregon)?

Thanks for posting.

We run a no huddle but rarely at the tempo the tempo that Oregon does.

Round 2.

We don't belong in the Pac 12. Idaho belongs in the Big Sky.
It's arguable whether EWU even belongs in the Big Sky. The year after their national championship they averaged 8900 attendance. The year before - 5300. That spike will end when WSU gets back to winning. EWU is definitely among the worst of the Big Sky in attendance, and now their field is horrendous to look at.... hmmm

And all that debth they've got...it's still D2 talent with no offers from a D-1 program.

:dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

It's pointless trying to reason with the majority of those fools, which is why I haven't posted much in that thread.

Some of the comments are pretty comical, though.

I'm still trying to figure out what Idaho has done since "moving up". I mean, I think we've beaten them 2/4 times we've played them since then. We at least win at our level.

I'll say it again - sure, Idaho might beat us, but it certainly won't be by more than a couple td's unless we just don't have the offense figured out by the first game. I think our defense is going to be pretty good. If we can stop the run, we should be able to hang with them.

The hell of it is, they're going nowhere no matter what happens in this game. They could run the table this season and still end up in the Road To Nowhere Bowl.

I can't read their board anymore. It's much the same as what we heard from the UW fans last season. Difference is, they were actually a pretty good team that plays in a BCS conference. The Idaho fans can't get it through their heads that the disparity in talent between upper-level FCS teams and lower-level FBS teams isn't what they want to make it out to be. I'm not sure where this unfounded arrogance is coming from - Idaho has been an abysmal FBS program at least 75% of the time since they moved to 1A in 1995.

If our offense is clicking, I think we'll put some points up on them. I think their Qb and passing game is a bit of an unknown at this point, so I expect them to run the ball and do a lot of play-action type stuff. If it turns into a fast-paced shoot-out type game, I think we can hang with them.

I'd be happy with a one point win, but after the smack-talk from the Vandul faithful, I'd love nothing more than to see us beat them by 3 TD's.

Whats the line look like on this game?

My guess is the “line” will not be very long to get in the Kibbie Dome! If you were a Vandal fan would you want to watch your boys get rolled by a championship Big Sky school and have to look at their fans sporting their National Championship gear while all you have is your worn-out faded 2009 Humanitarian Bowl shirt? :thumb:

In all seriousness, as of today I have not seen a line posted in Vegas. I heard Rob Spear asked that one not be posted until late August in hopes that it will not deflate the delusional Idaho fans.

    Love it!! How do you know those fans so well?
I would be surprised if there are 5k fans, including Eastern fans at this game. Why would Idaho fans drive to Moscow on Thursday night to see what they view as a weakling FCS team?
Can you say rude awakening??

It will be more than 5k. They sucked dog **** last year and managed just under 12k. Plus, school will already be in session for them over there, won't it? I'd guess around 10k.
