Think about our last coaching search; it yielded Jim McElwain and Beau Baldwin. One guy became the OC at Alabama and went on to be a bowl-winning coach at an ascending Colorado State program. The other made Eastern the dominant program in the Big Sky despite shitty facilities and a middling budget. I'd say we did pretty good last time around and will do it again when necessary.
I don't blame Coach K for leaving; Eastern's president had no interest in athletics, wasn't paying jack, and wanted to become a Spokane based institution. Montana State was a much better job with a lot more security at that moment. But I think everyone has moved on now.
