Idaho State's Derek Graves banned

I have heard Kramer has quite a temper, but this just seems stupid. Is he a little slooow as well? Guess I don't know the other side of the story so it is premature to judge.

"(Wednesday), I got there five minutes after practice started. (Thursday), I wasn't late at all. I'm assuming this is a personal vendetta by Coach Kramer. He's acting differently toward me since the incident."

Uh, you called the cops, a lawyer, and the media because you got pushed. And claimed injuries that kept you out of football for multiple weeks. No shit, he's treating you different. :?

The stupidity in this kid is amazing. The amount of fail in the Idaho State program is even more amazing. :ohno:

It really doesn't surprise me. Sounds like Kramer is as big of a dick as his protege, Wulff. Say what you will, but don't push one of your guys, especially when he's trying to compete. What an ass.

JFC that kid is soft, entitled douche. There's no way that little push injured his neck. "I just wanted to do the right thing." Then go to the AD and tell him what happened, and let him take care of it. You don't get an attorney and seek criminal charges for something so goddamned tame. I feel bad for his teammates suffering the embarrassment of all of this. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Agreed, but then again you don't act like a little bitch over it like Graves has. So much embarrassment by both in this. :ohno:

I don't know. I think we sometimes forget that these are kids out there. If Graves had ran across the field and shoved Kramer for something so inconsequential, he'd be off the team in a heartbeat. And no one would bat an eye. College coaches wield an incredible amount of influence and power. A big part of their job is to build these boys up, especially considering almost all of them will go on to be a pro in something other than football.

In college football, winning is paramount. But a huge part of their job is to guide young men. That's while I'd take a Baldwin, Best or graham over a Wulff or Kramer any day.

Just my opinion I guess.

Kramer is a good guy. Hard ass? Yes. And in today's day and age, this is what happens. Some candy ass little kid gets shown up and sues. This is a different world. You see guys missing 6 weeks for injuries that you would hardly have missed a series for 10 years ago. I'm not sure this softer environment has made anything better.

I'm all in favor of taking necessary precautions for head injuries. We've evolved to see how serious those can be. But this kid needing two weeks FOR THIS? It's getting downright weird.

Also, I've seen when people think someone "is a good guy" when in reality they are truly cruel and little. Everything looks different on the outside. What could Kramer possibly have achieved by using physical force on someone half his age? He's a hot-headed dick of a dinosaur. Could you EVER imagine Beau Baldwin doing something so stupid?

I didn't think so...

Candy ass? Really?
Yep, Dopa is right (cough, cough). The kid is a candy ass. A puss like this shouldn't be on the same field as young men layin' it all out there...

I say BS to this, These kids are not some piece of meat to go out there and tear their bodies up, and then be left to fend for them selves. I know one of the guys who has missed 6 weeks Zack Johnson would love nothing better than to be out there competing with his teammates. Your body is your lively hood so dont let some dip shit blogger make you think you are doing something wrong.

As for pushing a kid down, what a complete dumbass coach, any coach in America from little league to college should know you dont put your habds on a kid in this day and age. He should be fired and sued in civil court as the coach is a representitive of the university. The university has deep pockets. Their has to be some reason this dumbass coach keeps himself in the news and it isnt about his winning on the field.

If that were my son, legal action would be the least of the coaches problems.

There's so much wrong with this story but I think the thing that bothered me the most was when Graves said in an interview that he immediately went into the meeting room and used his cell phone to record the incident from the practice film so he could provide it to his lawyer. His words ... and they say volumes about his motivation in this. Kramer was foolish, Graves appears opportunistic, greedy, and a bit deceitful regarding both his "fall"/dive and the extent of his injury (can anyone say whiplash?).

Yo, Kramer was around Cheney for years... the man is not "cruel" and certainly not little. People liked him, he was always fair and decent. A "hot-headed dick of a dinosaur?" Where do get that?

Look, every coach has a few guys they wish weren't on the team. Every coach has some kid who never does what he's asked to do. There are better ways to deal with it... he should've just told him to put his gear away and don't come back. But he yelled at him, gave him a little push (I mean it's on video, there isn't any dispute) and the kid flopped like an Italian soccer player. Then comes the phone calls to the media, the lawyer, and all the rest.

To be honest, I wasn't aware the kid ran in to record the video. That's a little slimy. And my language was a little strong. He was still wrong to push him.

On a different note, I saw you post about Reo's on another thread. I live just up the hill from there but have never been. We should meet up and talk EWU football over ribs sometime. :thumb:

Lair Hill? I used to live right off Corbett Ave. I love that neck of the woods! Kudos to you, that ain't the cheap neighborhood.

And I'll gladly go to Reo's with you, you don't need to give me an excuse.

Haha well, I guess I should clarify. If you follow Corbett up to Burlingame, I live right next to the Fulton community center and park.

Hannah, you always express things perfectly. I agree with this 100%. Well done!
