If we go all the way in the CIT, do we keep hosting?

Last week the Poll Question on the Dan Patrick show was whether you would rather make the NCAA tournament and lose in the opening round (1st four or round "2") or win another tournament. Hard to say. Of course since making the NCAA tournament for Weber means winning the Big Sky tournament I'd have to say I'd go with that. Would like to see another banner hanging in the Dee that says Big Sky champs.
But it is hard to argue with watching more home games. Plus, more games this year is just more practice for the underclassmen for next year.
That is a good question... Especially considering the way you lose in the first round. Are you absolutely embarrassed like Montana was? Then I would have to say winning the other tournament. But if you put in a good showing and lose a nail biter at the last second in the first round, I'd go first round of the NCAA's all day. That would be an interesting poll question for this forum.

As for the topic of this thread, as long as UNI and ECU are in the tournament I think Weber will have to go on the road eventually. Attendance doesn't mean much to the CIT decision makers. CIT wants money and keeping schools happy to return next year. I think Weber would be happy to return next year even if they didn't host another game. But Utah State last year for example, they hosted every game because the CIT wanted to keep them happy. Maybe I am reading too much into this. But that is my own opinion.

I got my tickets today, for free. Got 4 free tickets because I work on Hill AFB.

Lots of tickets have been sold.

is cit like cbi/nit where knob measuring contest is a consideration? (our oregon game) does any of that matter in cit?

based on attendance alone, what if each of the 4 home teams were to win and gets 25% more attendance for the quarterfinals than its highest cit home game?

Oral Roberts at Weber State, wed (6,113) = 7,641
Loyola MD at East Carolina, tues (3,886) = 4,858
Bradley at Northern Iowa, tues (3,025) = 3,781
Evansville at Canisius, tues (1187) = 1,484

i honestly see no reason to have weber play a road game if it wins its quarter.
could we get 9,000 for a semi if we beat the bobs? or would it be better to have us play away in front of 3-5k?
per the title of this thread "if" we go all the way, could we get 12,000 for the final? or is that too optimistic?

I'd like to see just how much more of an increase our attendance is from Saturday, We have been told that they have sold more tickets in just basically a day than we sold for Air Force, which means we will at least have 6,200, I am now predicting a crowd of 7,589 for Tomorrow. And if we are allowed to host again, 8K+ for our next game which I would guess is either a friday or saturday game.

yes I'm thinking 12K is a little too optimistic :-D

If you go to the WSU Ticket Office online, you will see a feature that shows how many seats are available for each section:
https://tkt.xosn.com/tickets/TicketHome.dbml?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=8600&_MODE_=EVENTSELECT&SALE_TKT_EVENT_ID=402119" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I did a very rough guess and it looks like (excluding students) about 6500 tickets remain for the game on Wednesday.

Awesome find Waldo!!

What we all need to be asking is what is being done to ensure that the student section is full on Wednesday? The tickets are free!! There is no reason why the student section shouldn't be full for the game, and loud. I'm hoping to see 1K students at least at the game. That would be huge.

I just ordered my tickets today for the game Wednesday. They lady said they have already sold more than what they did for the Air Force game. She said her will call pile was overflowing and its only Monday. They have clear till Wednesday to sell more tickets. Also if we win Wednesday we will for sure host another game on Saturday. Heck ya. I predict a crowd of at least 7k on Wednesday and 9k on Saturday. This is awesome. Is it bad that Im kind of glad we are hosting these games instead of playing in the NCAA? I cant wait for the next game. Lets go WEBER!!!!

wazzu said the ticket office confirmed this is fact. come on weber!!! beat the bobs!

Here are the current Ken Pomeroy rankings for each team playing in the CIT quarterfinals.
These rankings take into account wins in the tournament.

Loyola MD 114
East Carolina 148
Evansville 79
Canisius 118
Bradley 164
Northern Iowa 69
Oral Roberts 151
Weber State 70

Looking forward to Tuesday night schores, but most to a Cats win on Wednesday night!!

I did some quick calculations (fuzzy math lol)...according to my math 6321 seats have been sold...varying on students...there are 5679 still available. Where are these people???

Would anyone notice if we gave Kyndahl Hill Fultons jersey and snuck him in next game?

 that would be awesome! I would notice but only because I'm so disappointed about what Fulton has become and because I can't hardly wait to see Hill in the mix!

About 5000 seats still available (excluding the student section). That would mean about 4-5k seats have sold, plus whatever students you get tonight. Assume you get about 1k students plus about another 1k who purchase tickets today, attendance will be @ 7k tonight.
My exact guess is: 7,138

Randy and the boys can't look ahead, but fans can. What will the attendance be WHEN we host the championship game against ECU? My guess is 9k

As of right now with how bored at work i am i entered into my calculator all the available seats and then did the math there was 5,024 seats available which comes out to 6,976 seats sold. i think after some more time and last minute sales we see an attendance of 8k, and Bovee calles the CIT and offers more money than UNI for us to host!! :twocents:
