• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

o.k we are gaining Viking fans by the day, tell us something about yourself, just tell us whatever you are comfortable telling, especially your link to PSU

I'll sticky this for awhile

i went to psu from 98-04, and graduated from the school of business, i also played football

My name is Gary. My son and I have been football season ticket holders for 18 years. We got hooked at a playoff game against Mankato State; sat in the rain in what is now the family section and haven't missed a home game since.

We're bouncing off the walls about Glanville/Davis coming to PSU...probably the most exciting thing to happen since Pokey bet his salary that he could average 10,000 fans per game -- and won -- or calling the plays with those old run/pass signs they used to hand out!

Hey, I remember that playoff game. :-)

My name is Marty. I grew up going to PSU football games with my Dad back in the DII days. Needless to say, I've pretty much been a fan for life. My Dad, Sister, and I all attended PSU, so we're sort of a PSU family in a way. We've been season ticket holders for hoops for the last few years, and season ticket holders for football for quite some time. Over the last few years we've been traveling for some of the football games so that we can check out other schools and of course support our Vikings.

That being said...

This is one of the biggest weeks in years for PSU. Great things are starting to happen.

Go Viks!

Great forum!!

I'm a PSU undergrad -graduate, my dad is a PSU grad and my wife got her masters at PSU, however she got her undergrad at UM yes she is a Griz:) Now I'm reconsidering the part in my vows where they say "better or worse".. It gets a little tense around here when we play Montana..

Started going to PSU in '98, graduated in '06. As a student I worked for the V-Team (student intern in the athletic department), did in-game music and sound effects for volleyball and basketball (hence the nickname), and I co-created The Horde, which is the Student Fan Group. I'm a season ticket holder in football and basketball, and I've been following the Vikings since 2000.

We need a jumbotron at PGE park (in the works) a new basketball arena (in the planning stages) and we need a move to the WAC (in due time)

Go Viks!!

You founded the Horde? I still want one of those green t-shirts. Where can I get one?

Which one of the t-shirts? There have been a total of four different ones so far. The original dark green with the scratchy looking writing, and then three versions of the bright green ones.

The dark green ones seem to be in high demand, and unfortunately they are completely gone. I had to beg a friend to give me his. Seamus Boxley had requested to wear mine during warmup during one game, and he never gave it back.

I think I'm going to work with the athletic department and really get it going, trying to get sponsors, etc. for next year.

Yeah, I have one of the bright green ones that they throw out, but it doesn't say the horde on it. Also, very few people wore them to basketball this year. Are all the people who have one graduated?

Oh, Man...we absolutely need to get a t-shirt campaign going. Black, of course, in honor of Mr. Glanville.
Can you imagine?
The Horde.
"We Will Knock You Down"

Oh that would be awesome!!!!

I'm going to start working on that I think. Too bad Its only three days until the basketball game. More time and we could hand them out to people at the game.

You should try to get the athletic department involved. These babies would absolutely sell out.
Just think of it: an entire stadium filled with people dressed in black....
