Spartan - I really want to hear your opinion of the Airforce game. Breaking it down for us:

What did you think about our offense (linemen, quarterback, receivers, and running backs).
What did you think about our defense (tell us exactly what you think and why?)
What did you think about the special teams (kicking, punting, kickoff-s, returns)
What did you think about the play calling by the coaches (offense and defense).

I promise not to come back with :rofl: :clap:, seriously, like you do. We are all waiting......this will be interesting to read as we all know you are an expert about football....

fyi - you posted that the defense didn't do well then came back and said they did... which one is it...? seriously.. do you often try to take both sides of an argument ..? hows that working out for you...?

if:

1. air force scores 49 points on michigan...
2. air force rolls up 600+ yards on michigan

hell - i'll go all in

3. air force wins

Give Me A Break...I never said that our defense did not play well... I said our defense has some work as we could not stop their run.... I do not think too many teams can stop the Airforce offense as they are one of the top offensive teams in rushing every year in D-1A. Michigan, ranked #8, may have a hard time stopping the Airforce offense this upcoming Saturday.

I think we would all like to hear your reasons for your constant negative comments. I don't ever remember anyone professing to be a football coach. Thought this was the place where football fans could throw thoughts and opinions out there whether you know as much as the last guy that posted or not. I don't have any doubt that you know football. Here are some quotes from a D-I Pac 12 coach that is in a rebuilding situation. "There's some growing pains, but grow through them fast, you know?" "Anytime you step on the football field, that's an opportunity to improve, to make your play and develope your skills. You shouldn't let the score impact you. You shouldn't let the setting impact you. It's an opportunity and we should approach it that way."
His expectations is that his players simply give their best effort on every play. The rest, he says, should take care of itself.. He was asked how do you coach that?
"Part of it is, the guy just needs to make a decision. They just need to duplicate what they can do on a daily basis. Whatever your best is, that's enough. That's what you have. Just do it over and over."
We might think we know this team better than Kramer, but the truth is that none of us on here do. Give a guy in the stands a whistle and he will make the right call every time.

After listening to the coaches show last night, Coach Kramer seemed to be pleased with the maturity of this team and with the overall play of the Bengals against the Airforce. He did mention that the defense made some alignment mistakes that cost them during the game. Airforce has always had one on the best rushing teams every year in D-1 football so I think we have to take this game as a learning experience. It will be interesting to see if Michigan can contain the Airforce rushing attack this upcoming weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

With 9:00 left in the 3rd quarter, the Air Force Academy trails #19 Michigan 21-17. Despite having a huge size disadvantage, the Falcons are still playing them pretty tough. No we didn't get embarrassed by Air Force last weekend, we played respectfully. Just as Air Force looks pretty darn good against the Wolverines. I say that we should compete fairly well against Big Sky competition this year.

air force runs an offense not many people deal with so it causes teams some problems.. trouble is they are a mediocre team in a midlevel (at best) conference so any stats they produce are skewed…..

historically michigan is pretty good but not so much the last year or so…..

idaho state is at the low end of the big sky… hardly a power by any analysis… we are what we are.. to pretend otherwise is just foolish

Oh Spartan. You just don't get it. I am perfectly aware of what i said about myself, as it is true. I am positive that most people know more than me about football. I also said that there are some things that i do not understand. So, that being said, what is the big damn deal?!! I mean what i say and i say what i mean. Unlike you, who avoid the questions entirely of others that have asked them, and instead, take yet another opportunity to make yourself look like a complete ass all over again. We get it. Really. Not quite but he was responsible for all but 6 yards of Michigan's total net offense. Airforce total offense - 417 yards, Michigan total offense - 422 yards. Hardly a mismatch in the team game of football.

I'm not sure anyone would disagree with you that ISU has been in the "low end of the BSC" but does that mean we shouldn't expect and recognize improvement when we see it? I see the bengals improving in all aspects of the game - will they win the BSC this year - I hope so - will they be a better team this year than last - no doubt about it. Most of us recognize and applaud the progress being made - if that's being foolish then I'm guilty as charged.

Great post bengalguy. I think that is a great post to end on with this subject. I didn't know by me posting a simple ISU/AirForce thread that it would bring so much negativity. To all the negative Nancy's, you better get on board. This ride is gonna be fun with or without you.
