Jeremiah Dominguez

I think we'll be fine with Waters and Mickey against both Seattle and L&C.

If it's not better by UW, I'd sit JD for that as well. The last thing we need is a nagging injury to our point guard during conference play. A win in Seattle would be great, but it won't put us in the tourney. Let it heal properly.

Well, we got our wish. As long as the guys take care of business, it should be no issue. However, we all remember last year's near disaster sans morrison.

Boy; You sure have a good memory. I had forgotten that.
I think Scott has forgotten too, but to this day he still doesn't know what that was all about. His senior year, and he was sat, for no reason, with no warning and no explanation. He'd been practiced hard all week, had not been "rested," didn't ask for rest, wasn't sore, had had no days off, and had come to the game prepared and was expecting to play. Go figure. Coaches' brain fart, maybe?

That was a weird situation. Morrison said his back was 100%, then Bone said he sat him to rest his back. Morrison made it through all last season in good health, so I'm going to go ahead and say that I think Bone must have known what he was doing. After all, we did go to the tourney. :-)

OGDEN, Utah (Dec. 29, 2008) – Portland State guard Jeremiah Dominguez has been selected the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week after leading the Vikings to a pair of victories, including a stunning upset of seventh-ranked Gonzaga.
The 5-foot-6 senior from Salem, Ore., averaged 20 points, four rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals per game in leading the Vikings to wins over Gonzaga and Texas Southern. Dominguez shot 52.2 percent form the field, 52.9 percent from 3-point range and 87.5 percent from the free-throw line.

It was Portland State’s first ever victory against a ranked opponent, and marked the first victory for a Big Sky team over a ranked team since Montana defeated No. 20 Nevada in the first round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament. Dominguez made a career-high 7-of-10 3-pointers against the Bulldogs, and finished 8-of-12 from the field. Gonzaga entered the game ranked first in the Collegeinsider.com Mid-Major top 25, and was 55-2 all-time at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
Dominguez followed with 15 points, a career-high six steals, two rebounds and two assists in a 63-55 road victory over Texas Southern. Dominguez was 5-of-6 from the free-throw line, and made two 3-pointers.
