Jumping in here to try and clarify some things.
1.If you think you should be tweeting at recruits, then please refer to this article and the enclosed flow chart:
http://www.sbnation.com/2015/2/3/79...ootball-recruits-on-the-internet-a-flow-chart. The article's geared toward football recruiting, but the same principles apply in any sport. Please leave the recruiting to the coaches. WSU boosters contacting recruits may jeopardize that recruit's eligibility should they choose to enroll here.
2. As some of you all discussed, the NCAA has a broad definition of who's a booster (technical term is representative of athletics interests). If you've given money to athletics or any entity that's a part of athletics (Wildcat Club, Roundball Club, Gridiron, etc.), you're a booster. If you have purchased single game or season tickets in any sport, you're a booster. If you're ever asked to assist in the recruiting process by a WSU coach, you're a booster. And, not surprisingly, there's a catch-all for booster status for anyone who has been involved in any way in promoting WSU's athletics program.
Based on the content of this post, we will have to investigate whether a violation has occurred and how it might affect the referenced recruit's eligibility should he ultimately end up a Wildcat.
