Decision coming soon!    :thumb: :thumb:

Why should we believe anything you say on this topic? First you said his highlight videos could be deceiving. Then Tal posted that he was in town and that he was impressed with his play. You told us that wasn't Jerrick and was another player (AKA Tal was full of crap). Then you post that you got to see him in person and that he is amazing. (AKA Tal wasn't full of crap and I am not in the know as much I as I would like to be)
But stayed tuned... Olds says a decision is coming.

It is true...I am full of crap!!

Quite frankly, I think that everyone does a little mental crapping when they post on this forum. I know that I have said some fairly outrageous things before, and probably will again. I try to keep myself in line with reality. It's just hard sometimes. I don't mind being called out. I've done my share of the calling as well. I like you all, whether you are saying smart things or saying dumb things. :coffee:

Really interested to see this kid play. He just set a record for scoring in the Kansas state playoffs, including two games in which he scored 81 points and made 26 of 44 shots. Also named Kansas Gatorade POY.

I am very optimistic. Randy seems to be able to recruit high volume guards well. But I also realize that sometimes the highly touted high volume guard is a Lillard or Senglin, but sometimes it also can turn out like Gelaun Wheelwright or Jerimiah Jefferson.

To misquote the Dead: "What a long, strange thread it's been..."

But I'm pretty excited to watch Harding play.

Both our Spring signings are above my expectations!

First, Congratulations and welcome to Weber State Jerrick! Being a DI player is tough, it is an uphill battle. Gotta keep working hard and developing your game. The more I watch and learn about Harding, the more I like him, just like John last year. Wooly you told us weeks ago and many of us doubted you. Here's to you!! :thumb: Nice job!

Second, Agreed...Rahe has had his gems and busts. Jeremiah, to me, has a lot of upside, but didn't want to sit another year. He probably would have gotten more time as a Jr, but he wasn't interested in not playing, and you've got to respect that. Besides, now, Rahe can, possibly, sit Harding for a year (I don't know why coach is so against red shirting; just seems that way) and let him develop his game. I just don't see where he will play this year, next, yes, this upcoming season, serious logjam at the 1 and 2.

However, and I truly believe this, I think our team would have been better with Wheels as a JR and SR than with Jeremy as a true freshman starter. Jeremy could have red-shirted his Freshman year and then started as a Redshirt Freshman with Wheels playing alongside him last year. Personally, I think our team would have been a lot better with Wheels as a SR last year. Also, think how much further along Jeremy would be? He would still have two years to play!! I watched a lot of rat ball games that summer and our two best players from what I could see were Davion Berry and Gelaun Wheelwright as a JR. Weird what happened...out of nowhere he was up and gone. I still wonder what happened.

Jumping in here to try and clarify some things.

1.If you think you should be tweeting at recruits, then please refer to this article and the enclosed flow chart: http://www.sbnation.com/2015/2/3/79...ootball-recruits-on-the-internet-a-flow-chart. The article's geared toward football recruiting, but the same principles apply in any sport. Please leave the recruiting to the coaches. WSU boosters contacting recruits may jeopardize that recruit's eligibility should they choose to enroll here.

2. As some of you all discussed, the NCAA has a broad definition of who's a booster (technical term is representative of athletics interests). If you've given money to athletics or any entity that's a part of athletics (Wildcat Club, Roundball Club, Gridiron, etc.), you're a booster. If you have purchased single game or season tickets in any sport, you're a booster. If you're ever asked to assist in the recruiting process by a WSU coach, you're a booster. And, not surprisingly, there's a catch-all for booster status for anyone who has been involved in any way in promoting WSU's athletics program.

Based on the content of this post, we will have to investigate whether a violation has occurred and how it might affect the referenced recruit's eligibility should he ultimately end up a Wildcat.

If you ever have questions, please feel free to contact me. My office number is 801.626.8552. My email is [email protected]. You can also reach out via the social media accounts linked below in my signature.

Now that he has signed with us, we'll get to see how this turns out

Jerrick should be here for the June summer session. There should be a lot of pick up games where we can get a look at him. All indications are that he is a great young man who has the potential to have a great career ahead of him. Some of you may remember the little freshman guard from Montana, who lit us up with his drives. If you take that kid and insert a great outside shot, that is Jerrick. He is a potential replacement for Jeremy after next season. Although a bit undersized, he is athletic enough to play three positions for us. He will have the luxury to red shirt, adjust to school, learn our system of play, get in D1 shape, and mature, if that is what he chooses. Those decisions are always a three way deal. He has to want it, his parents have to want it, and the coaches have to be on board with it. Almost every player coming out of HS can benefit greatly from a red shirt year.

Harding said he will move to Utah in June to begin summer classes and working out with the team.

“(Herring) sent them film, then everything happened so fast,” Harding said. “I went for my visit, and I just loved it. Also, you know, Damian Lillard is one of my all-time favorite players so that was kind of a big deal to me, too.

“My mom really doesn’t want me to move that far away, but I feel like it will help me stay focused on what I need to do.”

"You're headed out to Utah, it's quite a ways away. What do you think about moving that far away from home?"

“My mom really doesn’t want me to move that far away,"

"What do you think about sending one of your kids....all the way to the West Coast, or to Utah...?

I have a boy on a church mission in Kansas (currently in Wichita) it's not that far away. Not much outside the range of the Bigger Sky.

Out west, we view distances differently. I think of Kansas as being close by, and New York as being far away. I'll be headed that direction soon and I don't view it as a long trip.

Jerrick is going to love it here and his family will too, when they visit. I hope they visit often.
