JSU at (3) EWU Game Thread

Fortunately, despite jsualumnus' assesment, I have traveled extensively in the south and have a large network of friends from all over. All of my Deep South jokes aside, I like the people but hate the region. Climate is outside my taste, the weather during six years of rehearsals was unfriendly at best. Granted I always traveled in the summer so I always got the worst. But my biggest complaint was the lack of mountains, get kind of used to living in the constant presesnce of Hood and St Helens.

This is funny to me, because I had a friend from the south who hated the mountains. He would say "think about how far you could see without that damn rock there". Pretty hilarious. We gave him plenty of flak for that.

Surprise surprise surprise.

Graham interviewing for CWU HC position.

http://www.spokesman.com/eagles/blo...ewu-assistant-graham-finalist-cwu-head-coach/

Wrong topic? Anyway, I'll bite ;)

Although I don't necessarily agree with Graham's soft defensive strategy (I'm an aggressive smash mouth defense kind of guy), I hate to see him go. He is a good coach. On the flip side though, now isn't a terrible time to transition to a new defensive coordinator. Our defense is in rebuild mode which will help a transition.

Looking at his resume, I am confident he will get the job. Congratulations to him if he does, and I will wish him the best pursuing his dreams as a head coach.

Agree on all counts. Fact is, if Baldwin were to leave for some reason, the only guy on the staff that would be a legit replacement is Best... so if Graham wants to be a head coach, this is a good opportunity. I hope it works out for him. He looks really young for a 44 year old.

I love both the Northwest and South...Born and raised in Montana and now live in the Atlanta area. Whenever the 100ft pines get old the open views of Eastern WA are a nice break! Beautiful....

Posted the Graham article here thinking this news might be a distraction to the team for the upcoming game and run to NC. He certainly has ties back to Central Washington. Thought you have done a nice job editorializing on this one with Dopa et. al. Suspect everyone knows how I have felt about Graham's scheme in general, although decided to just support the effort on the field, which is excellent, this season. So this is now .... your thread. :D

Funny stuff with the dog

One of the things I miss is sledding. Used to do the huge inner tubes down Indian Hills 18th fairway when I was at Eastern and years later would stack my 4 children (yes all at one time) on my back on a two rail sled at Mission Park in the valley and tear ass down the hillside with occasionally calamitous but incredibly funny results.

Sports Network playoff round 3 predictions.

After looking at the "look a likes" and hitting the JSU roster pics, don't the EWU players just look way more fit? These pics are before the season, how much can a player improve while playing the season? Just saying.

So Jimmy Garoppolo threw two TDs last night. That should put his season total at 53 to lead the nation. Which of course means I need VA to throw for at least three... Five would tie the record I believe, within reach, but he might need another game to get there since Quincy has decided to be a larger factor lately.
