I saw the last 5 minutes it was a nail biter but they managed to hit just enough free throws to get over the top. Uhnruh wasn't playing did he get hurt?

Awesome win though! Maybe the fire is back. :thumb:

Unruh fouled out with 14 points. You spell like shit and are negative. lol

It's night and day between this years team and last seasons. Finally some guards that can run the offense. Jordan Wilson did NOT look like a true freshman out there.

What did I say negative you douche bag? And I spelled the guys name wrong who cares.

I love the internet tough guys, we need you on the football field. :notworthy:

Awesome win! To be honest, I never thought we would see the basketball team rise back to the level of a few years ago--looking good so far!

For all you naysayers saying we have no business in D-I, explain this win. Explain how D-2 would be better for the basketball team.

Yea,barring injuries this could be a special season. And I agree with you on this going back to the D-2 scene is plain stupid. If everyone else can recruit in their sports so can the football team. I was at the Montana State game and you can't tell me we can't compete with the rest of them in football. And I also watched Eastern Washington on tv and take away the red field, it looks just like Nottingham. So its not facilities either. Its coaching, leadership and attitude that will bring success not going back to the stone ages !
GO BEARS BASKETBALL !!!

Eastern has plans to expand their stadium to 18K. They're completely overhauling their current one. UNC has no such plans right now. I would rather be concerned about getting more money to pay our coaches, rather than a nicer stadium.

Facilities will have to be in the plans as everyone else in the BS will be moving forward. I think it will have to be brought to the table early on. There is no way we can wait 5 years to start talking about it. My point about Eastern Washington was here is a school very similiar with UNC and they can win National Championships (football) without a lot of money or facilities so as I was saying, its coaching ! We probably need to move this talk off the BB board .

I have also always thought of EWU as the model for what we should be shooting for in football. They broke the stadium single game record with 11,702 fans at the Montana game in 2010. In 2003, they were getting about 6000 fans until they started winning and doubled their attendance.

When UNC was in D2 prime, it was getting over 6000 fans at the games; I want to say we were getting over 7k even.

Anyhow, to bring it back to basketball, that program is doing its part, the football team needs to take notes and start pulling its weight.
