These games are so tough to evaluate just becasue you're in so far over your head... But, we do look bigger and more athletic which is encouraging... Disapointed to see York is still the kicker and not Bigelow I don't get that really. I think we'll be able to move the ball on people it's just going to come down to Red Zone execution which has never been good and if we have to kick field goals we're screwed. :x

I thought it was a decent showing, and I hope the injuries to those guys aren't anything serious. Reesing is definitely a scrambling machine, if he wasn't the QB it might of been a little closer. We had some chances to put some points on the board, but shot ourselves in the foot. I thought it was gonna be worse, so 49-3 isn't that bad. With San Diego next Saturday, it'll be a whole different story.
what injuries did we have? Troy was saying most were just from cramping up because of the humidity.
What I did notice was the speed of our receivers. From the radio it seemed like we had no problem getting behind them on offense. Guys like Thompson, Gunn, etc, could be a nightmare for other defensive coordinators.

I agree, tough to evaluate this one. It seemed like the coaching staff approached it with the mindset of an NFL preseason game, nothing too exotic, get a lot of guys playing time, etc.
Next week will be a big step down in competition for us and a big step up for San Diego, who played Azusa Pacific today.
Just got back from the game. From my perspective (KU fan who roots for UNC since they sign the Mrs. checks) it was a good game all around. I thought UNC played hard and no one quit. Offense didn't look too bad; they were able to move it ok some of the time. I think Harris looks like he's going to be pretty good. KU was missing their top WR Briscoe to a suspension and it looked like they were content running pretty basic stuff on offense. KU pretty much ran at will, but that is what's supposed to happen. The D got some pressure on Reesing but, as those of you who watched it saw, that's usually a bad thing for a defense; he has a 6th sense for pass rushers. Both squads looked a little rusty at times. Kind of hard to get a real feel for where the team is at, but they didn't embarrass themselves, which IMHO is about all you can ask for from these games. Now let's regroup and and build off of this and beat San Diego next week.

Oh ok, I wasn't sure, I just saw Kemp, Gunn and Smith helped off the field. They didn't give any type of injury reports on tv.
