Kjar Staff Rumors

I’m with you. I totally understand others having concerns with experience, but I’m liking the pieces coming together on the staff, and I’m liking the local recruiting emphasis while still maintaining some ties to California and Texas. The transfer portal will be interesting.
With 24 hitting the portal and some solid players in that mix, I would think that we will be bringing in a good sized group of transfers. Some of those transfers will be enrolling this semester and will participate in spring drills.

Aaaaand Skyler Ridley is gone, hired as USU's receivers coach. Seems strange he would take that position after being names the associate head coach by Kjar. Some good news, it looks like WSU is going to get Tana Vea after all. Not official, but a great hire away from San Diego State.

Tate Kjar is transferring from USU as a wide receiver. He redshirted in 2024. 3* prospect out of high school, Utah 6A player of the year.
The younger brother to Noa and Tate is a highly regarded tight end at Corner Canyon. At 6'5'', with a 38'' vertical, he is also an excellent basketball player. It would be great if he were to sign on to play for his dad as well.

You would think a HC with zero college coaching experience would want some more experienced assistants but this staff is turning out to be very green, especially with Ridley leaving.
