You guys should win this year, it's been long enough. You have the best player in the state, and we are breaking in 3 new starters. If you don't win that'd be really disappointing for you. I think it will be a good game though, you won't win by double digits.

If it was due to a drinking incident as your board suggests it speaks volumes to the type of recruiting processes that your university uses. I would be furious as a parent to send my child to USU to find out he spent the night in jail for underage drinking. Where did he get the booze from? Aren't you responsible for the kid, who is miles away from home? The recruiters were the ones who got him drunk. I know too well the type of "jack mormonry" that goes on up north.

on the HickBoard they were NOT referring to Hill in jail for drinking, it was an example of someone else.

Terrible recruiting class?
Utah did beat us out for Loveridge, that's a fact. Weber didn't beat USU out for Hill, also a fact.

great to hear about this verbal. i believe his top 2 were weber and usu. i am sort of surprised to see 2 recruits in the past 2 months choose weber over usu. loveridge put us in his top 3 and knocked off usu. now hill!

hill will not regret his decision. playing for rahe will be a good experience, not to mention the even more important reason about playing for rahe....he will graduate from college!

i am equally excited for this yr's team and next yr's. which will be better?

USU pulled their offer, he no longer had a scholarship available for him and that is when he committed to you guys.

I believe that there may be some truth in what these agg fans are saying. Stew probably has other players at the 3 position that he thinks fits his needs better. Defensively, he can play the 3 spot for either program, right now. Ofensively, he has work to do in order to play the 3 spot for us. Stew was probably not willing to invest the time to get him into that level of ability. He is still growing and plays bigger than his hight, anyway. If he puts the work in, he is going to be a 6'9'' monster at the 3 spot. I think that he will put the work in and become something really special for WSU. If he sticks with it, Randy will not let him fail. All high school recruits are a gamble. Hill is a gamble with a huge upside. It is not fair to compare him to loveridge. Loveridge is much more polished and prepaired to play that position at the DI level.

That was my point, not the Ags. Hill wants to play the 3, USU wants him at the 4. So Hill chose Weber State.

As for me, All I know is that Hill held offers from both schools the Monday after he got back from Logan. Not saying it didn't happen, I'm really doubtful that it was pulled. Who cares...Hill chose Weber and is a great addition to our team. He has a lot of work to do, but I think he will turn into an amazing player for us.

Yes, I am a student. And no I am not connected with the team in any formal way at all. When Geo(on our board) said something about it, I didn't just automatically assume it and act like I knew it too. I asked around, and found out certain things that backed up what Geo was saying. But I'm done talking about it, I shouldn't be giving any details. I'm glad ya'll are happy about it, I'm happy for you too. Sounds like a pretty good get. it just was funny to me that some of your fans came over to beat their chests about how WSU "beat out" USU for a recruit, and whined about Geo saying that we had pulled our offer or how it was for sure all BS. It was sad really, and compelled me to post over here I guess

I'm not sitting here saying we didn't want Hill because he sucks...he may be a good player for you some day. I'm not opposed to Weber having a good team, it's been a fun series since I've been watching USU basketball and it would only benefit us for WSU to do well (outside of when they play us, of course).

I only ever came over here because some of your fans were trolling our board (see: football game, and now the Hill stuff), so now I'll be on my way until next time.
