Well, in just a little over 24 hours a new era begins at UNC! My emotions have been high and low. I'm happy we have a great guy as head coach and hopefully he proves to be a great coach here at UNC. My lows go with knowing we have a gimmick offense with a very inaccurate QB, but my highs go with knowing we have a good defense, especially a very good defensive line. My hope is that we don't over-look these guys and look towards playing Ft. Collins. I don't care if they are NAIA, any time you average 56 points a game, you know there is talent. I've settled down now and I'm ready. I apologize for being so negative and all I can say is BEAR DOWN! Let's get Collins his first victory tomorrow!!!!!

Well, I am glad you got your head out of________ !! LOL . Sure Lindenwood has some talent but those huge scores were racked up on teams that had absolutely nothing !! Lets hope for a great day. GO BEARS !!!

I need some help.....my computer idiocy has caught up with me. I am not able to access the game notes for lindenwood at the UNC website under media.....any ideas?
Thanks
I must add that I appreciate your last post Beardown

Last years Lindenwood results:

9/2/2010 Evangel University (Mo.) St. Charles, MO W 68-7 Details
9/11/2010 Central Methodist University (Mo.) Fayette, MO W 69-7 Details
9/18/2010 Missouri Valley College St. Charles, MO W 45-27 Details
9/25/2010 MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.) Olathe, KS L 20-26 Details
10/2/2010 Avila University (Mo.) St. Charles, MO W 53-9 Details
10/9/2010 Baker University (Kan.) Baldwin City, KS W 48-14 Details
10/16/2010 Culver-Stockton College (Mo.) (Homecoming) St. Charles, MO W 90-19 Details
10/30/2010 Benedictine College (Kan.) Atchison, KS W 40-24 Details
11/6/2010 Graceland University (Iowa) St. Charles, MO W 77-33 Details
11/13/2010 William Jewell College (Mo.) Liberty, MO W 29-18 Details

Contrary to what another person posted, Lindenwood as of recent, is a powerhouse and they are currently transitioning to DII. They are playing as independents this year.

The Bears are supposed to win, losing is not an option. If the Bears win, it'll mean nothing, because they are supposed to win and it doesnt count toward the 7 wins needed for the playoffs.

Yesterday SFA beat McMurry 82-6. And you know what? no one cares. Do you know why? Because SFA was supposed to win.

In a game like this, there is nothing to gain and everything to lose. Losing wil effect morale, public perception (for this season), etc. It isnt simply an "L" on the record if you lose, it's a big hit to a struggling program.

Good luck to you guys tomorrow.

You are so right herky concerning "nothing to gain and everything to lose with this game" Anything can happen on any given saturday but I doubt this coaching staff will let this team take Lindenwood lightly. We are in the process of turning this team around and there is a lot of talent on this Bears team as we were very close last year to winning a few more games. Should be fun. Go Bears

FN painful to watch. Did they not work on tackling or special teams this summer?

Didn't you just have that feeling when we could only get a field goal that Lindenwood would come down and beat us? Terrible kickoffs and defense.
