• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Live Turf Installation Cam

This is sooooo cool. Can't wait for the completed installation. With the Red Turf and the possibility of winning the BSC this is going ot be a very special year.

Strange, but when I pull it up all I get is the donate now text...........no video. How is this looking for those of you who can actually watch the feed?

Looking at the vid makes the visitor side seating really stand out...hope it doesn't distract from how nice that turf is going to look.

The replacement of visitor grandstands couldn't cost that much! I just wish that they would make that a priority and raise the $ to get it done this summer. Anybody have any idea of how much something like that would cost? I would donate to the cause most definitely and I am sure many of you would as well. To me that has been the biggest eyesore of our stadium and makes it look so high school. Go Eagles!!!

Probably at least a couple million bucks to get something decent, I would imagine. Possibly less for something very basic, but I am sure it would depend on what sort of materials were used. I'd like to see something with a concrete frame, but the other option would be the erector-set type grand-stand that we see at places like Sac State which I am sure costs much less.

I really hope they put minor facelift stuff like the video board on hold until the visitor grandstand is done. A permanent fixture would cost about $2m at the low and about $5m for something really top end based on my knowledge of construction. We could do the aforementioned "erector set" granstand for about $800k (this one is quite a guess.)

Before anything else gets done, this should be priority #1 for athletic facilities at EWU. The perception that those half-ass bleachers gives is one of a third-rate university.

Nice pics. Looks like a nice surface to play on.

I love the guys that announce the Sac St. games. They're pretty funny.

The Sac Cam shows kind of a different procedure than ours? They have kind of a white base and we have black with what lloks like rolled steel to hold it in place. Does anyone know the difference?

No idea but my guess is that the soil properties at the two sites were different that resulted in the different type of installation. :?:

The turf will be finished by the end of August and/or first of September. The total cost was around a million for the prep and installation.
