No scotty b and curry as a ref, oh boy, Weber has their hands full tonight.

Curry is such a tool i wonder what "personal" reason Bam had for not being at the game??

Great season CATS! Looking foreword to next year. I think Wheels is going to be a terrific player for us for the next three years. I just hope our bigs stay healthy and injury free and we should be in top contention for the BSC championship again.

All I can find out is that he's not there for "personal reasons." WSU officials are tight-lipped about it. Won't say shit.
I sure hope his baby is OK. I would hate for anything that horrible to happen.
Our prayers are with you Scott.

And now the CIT is going to give the least deserving team a 3rd home game in a row, how ridiculous. Stew can shove it up his #%$.

GO LOYOLA, I hope the Lions kick Utah State's trash.

probably just the same as if you ever took a day off from work for family reasons.

words like "deserve" and "respect" are not valid regarding big sky schools i guess.

Bummer deal. The Cats came up short. Great season 25-7...one of the best in school history. It'll be sad not seeing Bull or Mahoney on the floor next year, but they both have so much to be proud of. The have accomplished so much. To them, thank you for giving your very best. Six and a half months till we get going again. I already miss it!! Go Cats.

I usually like the aggies but now this time. The Aggies do not deserve to host any games in this tourny.

Ditto, It's been a pleasure to watch this team at the Dee all year.

We should have hosted this game. They showed heart but they were screwed.

All because of a stupid concert :wall:
We should have played the game at Swenson Gym, we would have filled it with more people than the dozen or so Lions fans.

Concert? Is that why Weber had to travel? Must have been a good concert, the parking lot was virtually empty on Saturday night.

Three things killed Weber yesterday.

1. Second chance points for the Lions. They killed us on the boards.
2. Missed lay ups. Weber missed 6.
3. Charging calls. Lillard got called for two charges that should have been blocking fouls. What really stinks about both calls is that he made the bucket and should have been at the FT line shooting one. On both plays Loyola scored on the other end. The first was a 3pt and the second was an and one. Both times there was a 5 point swing. On the second one, in the late second half, Lillard went up and moved away from the defending player. He didn't initiate the contact, and still got called for the Charge. First, the defender was on the baseline falling down before Lillard had made contact. Second Lillard moved away from the defender (only way for a true charge is if the player is absolutely in front of the driving player). The player fell down the opposite way Lillard was going. Huh? The ref blew that one.

When will the NCAA take over reffing from the conferences?

Agreed, but don't forget perimeter defense. That has been our nemesis the past three years. Anthony Johnson two years ago, Beitzel last year. We have enjoyed having two great three point shooters in Bamforth and Lillard but when a great outside/guard game shows up for the other team, it kills us! Remember, offense sells tickets, defense wins championships!

You are absolutely right. Our perimete defense can be quite porous at times, which is weird with such a good 3pt shooting team. On the zone, Weber tends to shrink the middle, but leaves the arch too open. Maybe instituting a 1-3-1? Who knows.
