Man, UNC's academics are so good they are ranked 10th best in Colorado by Forbe's. Behind Fort Lewis College AND Western State LOLOLOLOLOL. All that and I have to live in Greeley: Where it smells, there's nothing to do and the people suck.

Yeah, no thanks. I'll take CSU and our $500 million dollar campus upgrades to: Get a better education, live in a better town, and have stuff to do.

Holy shit you must be stupid you frat kid. If you're referring to the link below you must be dumber than I thought. The Forbes list is a mix between graduation rates and the cost of attendance. Not much else. Best bang for the buck.http://www.forbes.com/top-colleges/list/#p_1_s_arank_CO" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

According to the site it ranks the schools by: "quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt"

So yeah, pretty much the same. My point still stands. Plus the real indicator is the Princeton Review, which sorry but you're not on any of their lists.

I'll say it again: If you're going to argue that UNC has better academics, then you're admitting to being retarded.

You seem butthurt

I think it's pretty hilarious and ironic that you keep calling me a stupid frat kid. Funny how you conveniently leave out the part where it clearly says "quality of teaching, and great career prospects."

Yeah, you're retarded. Keep posting. I'm literally lol'ing at you making an ass out of yourself :thumb:

--Oh and if you want to argue "Best Bang for your Buck" like you said, Forbes has its own list for that. It's called Best College Buys. Guess who's 59th? CSU. Guess where UNC is on there. You guess it! It's NOT!

CSU>UNC in every way imaginable.

Keep reading, but I know it's difficult for frat kids such as your self. You can also look at US News and World Report. UNC is ranked higher in several areas above CSU. Better Teacher Education, Better Music Program, Audiology and Nursing. Maybe even better in under-grad business.

What's your point in coming on to his forum any ways? We know Lobato beat you up in high school and if that's the case than talk to him about it. No one here thinks we're going to beat you. Also, I wasn't knocking your student population. I'm knocking the fact that you have over 29,000 students in a city that has over 200,000 people living in it and your in the bottom of your conference in attendance. 6,000 season tix? Several Big Sky teams have more. And you say no one cars about the Bears. LMAO!!

Uh ya, no one cares about teaching, nursing, audiology, or music. Those are pretty much the worst programs to have "reputable" programs in brah. This is also implying anyone cares about where you get your degree for teaching. As far as getting a job as a K-12 teacher, it doesn't matter much. I had several teachers who only had degrees from AIMS.

And LOL not even close on the undergrad Business. For graduate Business? Definitely not close.

Get. Out.

What I'm LOLing at is the state of CSU athletics. I remember when it was a respected program, routinely playing good bowl games against quality teams, even showing up in the Top 25 now and then. Now, CSU fans are reduced to talking smack to an FCS team, and not even a good one, because they're one of the 2 or 3 teams on the Rams' schedule they can actually beat.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Your the dumbest shit out there. How can you be a teacher and graduate from Aims? You have to have a four year degree and a teaching license.

Well essentially maintaining a solid football team is about money. Money that wasn't spent in the 90s or early 2000s by CSU.

CSU athletics is spending more money than ever. Renovations to Hughes, indoor practice facility etc.
So yeah, we'll be back eventually. Maybe not to conference power house. I find it funny how you guys insult our fans when UNC gets 4500 people to go to their games. Greeley has 100k people.

I also find it funny how this turned into an argument about academics. Which, sorry, but UNC loses in every category that matters (whoopty doo audiology--fairly certain CSU doesn't even have that program). Business, engineering, health sciences, vet program (best in nation), agriculture, value, lifestyle, town. Everything

Actually, it hasn't always been that way. My German teacher only had her Associates from AIMS, then they changed the rule and she was unable to teach anymore. My point still stands: Where you get a teaching certificate makes LITTLE difference.

UNC has spent over $16 million in facility renovations since moving up.

And to who's to say those careers don't matter? Teacher eduction? Yeah, who cares, right? There is been only 3 other schools in the entire country to graduate more teachers.

It has always been that way. I'm a teacher. I should know. And it matters very much. You're ignorant. Go away.

Cool, like I said where you get your teaching degree doesn't matter much.

I also find it funny how UNC is "better" in a few programs. Yeah programs CSU doesn't have. I'll give you the teaching one.
But music? A music degree is pretty much completely pointless.
-CSU doesn't have audiology
-CSU doesn't have a nursing school. Although you can become an RN thru CSU's Health and Exercise Science program.

So congrats. You're better in field's we don't have. And that no one cares about

Yes, healing the sick and educating America's youth, completely irrelevant professions.

Really, I'm done arguing on academics (as this is a football forum). It's common sense CSU is better academically and it has been ranked that way already via Forbes and the Princeton Review.
So this is it for that.

On topic: predictions for Saturday:

48-13 CSU. Two UNC players will be carted of the field on a stretcher after Capi or Sisson put them there

23-21 UNC. CSU finally gets the loss to a Big Sky team it's deserved for the last four years. There won't be any last second field goals or fumbles to save you this time.

Realistically, CSU wins 34-17.

You are going to decide what is written on our board? If you want to be a teacher, nurse, musician and audioligist you go to UNC, there are none better in the state in those areas. If you think those professions don't matter, you have deep issues.

You are as thick as a rock. Well considering this is a "UNC football" forum, I would consider talk about academics irrelevant to this board.

So on to football: Predictions for Saturday. Got one Beardown? Or are you too upset to post one? 8)

Man, you guys are seriously mad. The only thing that can drive this much hatred is jealousy.

1)CSU is listed on Forbes "Best Western College" list, is top 3% in research funding, is listed in Forbe's #45 "Best College Buys" list, is THE land grant uni in Colorado and is in the top 376 colleges in the Princeton Review.

Where is UNC in this list or any of these lists? Ya not on there. If you're going to argue UNC has better academics, you might as well admit to being retarded.

2) Attacking our enrollment? Yeah, it's much higher than UNC's because people actually WANT to go here. Plus, the academic requirements are higher to get into CSU so arguing our student's our dumber, is again admitting to being retarded.

Man, you guys really are dumb, and mad. But what else should I expect from people who live in Greeley and couldn't get out of Weld County if they wanted to?

So, I'm curious is English one of the subjects they offer at CSU?

Fail troll is fail. So I'm going to cowboy this thread and change the subject.
Who here has some fun plans for tailgating beforehand? I myself am going to one beforehand and one after the game. Should be a good time- although the one before the game is with some CSU alums- My Dad and all his buddies, but hey, I get free steak, talk about some Denver Broncos football, work and school then head on in for the game. Then after going to do a cookout with a mix of UNC and CSU people and get some burgers and beer in me. So fellow Bears, what are your plans for before and after the game?

I'm gonna be firing up the beer bong at 6:30am sharp with OMFGimafratboy. The first one to puke has to wear the other team's jersey.
