I was a little late on the uptake, but noticed the staff is not putting a lid on their recruiting trail, going for the big guns.

If we start landing Australian four stars, my god….

The fact that this group of coaches is willing to go toe to toe and try to win big time prospects tells you more about their belief in the program potential rather than finding an excuse from the 1000 Excuses Why You Can’t Succeed book.

That Mojo is what gets The gym packed and pushing for bigger venue.

Word!

Same should be done with fundraising. Curious to see if the new hire thinks outside the box.
Its nice to have Johns Pizza and Hot Wings as a sponsor, but that aint gonna get a new stadium or gym built. How about Blue Diamond, Healthcare Anybody, must be some other large corporations/growers/non-profits that can be tapped for naming rights or partnerships?

Again, curious to see what the new guy can do, we have had yellow book salespeople/fundraisers in the past and that is why we dont have anything nice.

Coach DP signed 6-foot-10 British forward Chudi Dioramma. Don't know about the level of competition he played in HS but 26.8 points, 22.4 rebounds and 29.5 points, 18.0 rebounds are very impressive numbers

If you check out his Twitter page, there is the following that explains it:

Apparently you were right, he did sign a LOI, but the Hornets released him from his commitment.

Nothing surprises me any more with the crazy transfer portal. Guessing Sac State coaches may have decided they wanted the scholarship from Gonzalez to go after another transfer with experience. Also possible he saw all the transfers coming in and did not think there was an opportunity to play next year. Really tough for freshman in this new landscape. Montana just had two freshman that redshirted last year transfer and I am guessing they transferred for one of those reasons. I was a littler surprised to see Gianni Hunt in the transfer portal as I am not sure if he thinks he can transfer back to a bigger conference. Was not sure he was even Big Sky starter level. Maybe he is hoping he can get some NIL money. Heard Battle from MSU got $250k to transfer to West Virginia. I am guessing Steele Venters is getting paid now that he transferred from Eastern Washington to Gonzaga. Drew Timme reportedly received $950k to not jump to the NBA last year. NIL is not a good deal for most Big Sky schools. Will be interesting to see how all our transfers pan out. Most of them lack experience. We do have one incoming senior and we will be his fifth team in five years. Will be challenging for all the new and inexperienced players to mesh. Thinking we will take a step back next year and hopefully enough of them will be here for a second year so we can have some continuity. Do think we will miss Wilbon. Would have helped to have a fifth year senior with three years of Big Sky experience. With all the players leaving the conference he would have been one of the better returners.

I watched Bailey Nunn play in the championship game of the NBL the other night....He was playing with and against American college grads all over the floor...At 18 years old, he more than held his own....I really think we have a player here....
