Montana game

Ok, so this is a little early, but here goes!

At this point, it's a season to build a foundation on for next year. Wether we win or lose the next few games (hopefully win) is not that much concern to me at this time (amazing, this coming from Superfan). But there is one game I'm dead set on (almost obsessed with)...

Beating those stupid fools up from Missoula. That's right, guys. I think we could beat Montana. It would be our statement game. We have them here. They're not nearly as good as everyone says, having struggled in some home games (and haven't played on the road).

To the point, if Stanford-a team that went 1-11 last year, every game being a blowout, and and every game being a blowout this year-can beat USC (ranked #1 in some polls)...

Surely we have a decent shot at those scUM suckers in Montana.

EVERYONE! The week of the Montana game (Nov. 5th to the 10th), get the city going! I'll be writing the Journal and making appearances on city streets to get get people going! It'd be a great statement and a great accomplishment for the team to beat those idiots!!!

GO BENGALS!!!

I'm with you man. Flags on the truck, orange and white ballons around town. I have in-laws coming down from Montana that week. We do this game together every year. They (the in-laws) think we're the same team that plays the globetrotters all the time. For my sake, we need to show our pride as a communinty, and our team needs to stick it to the Griz.

Super Fan:

The Hawgfather will be in da house for da war wit da Griz...

I could use a nice bearskin coat for the rest of my trip that weekend...

8-)

Super, I didn't want to leave you hangin on this issue. I think everyones attention is on this weeks game and that is why this was probably missed over but like every game the Montana game is important. I am with you man. We need to paint this town Orange and Black for every home game. They are overated and we need to send them home with a L. Keep up your energy and brain storming. We all enjoy and appreciate your hard work and efforts! GO BENGALS and GO SUPERFAN!

The one poster had it right, but hopefully it was the past and it will be different from now on. He was laughing at more people at the high school games than at the Bengal games. I hope that the area fans all start showing up to show support. You might even find that even if we loose you can have a great time supporting your team.

BENGALS ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little do the Griz know that I hate them in every sport, not just football. Hey Griz, guess what? If you're reading this, I got to burn your mascot in effigy! Montana State took a liking to me and gave me a gas light. Poor little teddy bear...up in flames!

You better be ready, we're gonna rock your world inside out!

GO BENGALS!

(Now, to get some sleep before those damn exams)

superfan, you need to record your stuff and stick more of it on youtube. I think you very well could be the nation's best superfan. Market it! Get it on YouTube.

I love the excitement for the Montana game. It's usually always been a game, not matter how good each team has been.

Show em your stuff, fire em up!

You know who I'll be cheering for. I'm glad you guys are getting up for the Griz game. Hopefully its a better game than last year, since I drove all the way back to Missoula for it, and it was pretty boring. I'd like to come back to Poky for it, but my work schedule won't allow it.

I also had to get rid of my Griz license plates since I got new pickup and had to register it in Washington, it was a sad day.

By the way, I thought I'd give you an update on quarterback Calvin Schmidtke from Lakes High School, who ISU has offered a scholly. Schmidtke, who is coached by Drew Miller's dad, Dave, threw for 302 yards and five TDs last night.

Savagepaw, you stick to what you know best: Throwing on the velcro gloves and chaps, and "mutton-bustin'..." You're team isn't that great, and the BSC is down. You will get killed in the playoffs by NDSU, NIU, UMASS, JMU, SIU, APP St., and even Wofford. BTW, NAU will rock you all, as well...

That was a pretty good reply. Velcro gloves that’s good stuff. I do think we will have our hands full at NAU but it’s nothing we can overcome if the offense shows up in any way, shape or form. If it turns into a gun slinging match we will be in big trouble. BTW I agree we might get rolled early in the playoffs (I’ve been saying that on our boards for a while now) but if we get a home game or two we might pull off a win. One thing I do know for sure and there is no speculation at all. Your team will not be there...........but you can always

We just love it!

I liken this game to the 1980 USA vs. Soviet Union hockey game. The soviets had dominated hockey for 20 years. The USA wasn’t given a chance to win but they pulled off the miracle win. Coming into this game Montana has dominated the Big Sky for over a decade now. We go into this game with no one giving us a chance. For us this is our playoff game, this is our championship game; this is our chance to prove ourselves. This quote is similar to what Herb Brooks told that the USA hockey team on that great night and I put it in the context of being told to our team.

“Great moments are born from great opportunity, and that is what we have here tonight. One game, if we played them 10 times they might win 9, but not this game, not tonight, tonight we play with them, tonight we stay with them and we shut them down because we can, tonight we are the greatest football team in the Big Sky. This is your time, their time is done its over, and I am sick and tired hearing how about what a great football team Montana has. Screw em, this is your time, NOW GO OUT THERE AND TAKE IT.
