Montana State @ Eastern Washington: GDT

When your own announcers replayed multiple no calls and emphatically stated they couldn't believe there was no penalty there must have been an issue. No different than the few hundred posts you guys flood the board with whenever you play in Missoula

You're right. The refs totally caused those fumbles and that INT.

Now I can see why your so hard to beat at home. Numerous no calls on interference and late hits on quarterbacks. I would be real proud of this win

Was at the game and it felt totally on control through the 3rd quarter. 7 total turnovers is crazy! I think that the team should take this as a good win.

Custer as of late has really turned into the dynamic runner this team has lacked since Taiwan Jones. That running threat is really going to pay dividends down the road, especially if they make the playoffs this year (which they should).

I think you're discrediting Quincy Forte here. Custer has definitely been improving week to week this season.

Said I had a bad feeling about this game before it started. Just have this feeling like MSU is going to steal this game away.

STFU. :pissed:

We turned it over on back to back possessions. Sorry you don't like opinions other than your own.

And 85% of the time we bounce back and show grit and win the game. Ye of little faith.

Congratulations to EWU. Good teams find ways to win. Lots of mistakes by both teams but EWU was able to get the ball back at the end and seal the win. Bad calls both ways from the refs but whats new in BSC. MSU needs to score when in the Red Zone and don't fumble at the end of the game when you are on the 26 yd line. I figured you guys would score in the 30's and I was right. I thought we would as well. EWU is a good team all around. I hope you guys go deep in the playoffs.

Yeah, the refs caused those turnovers inside the EWU 30, and have caused MSU to lose to EWU 13 out of the last 15 years, including a 6-1 mark in that time frame while Bozeman had the home refs. Gotcha. :thumb:

Makes beating you whiny pansies even that much better...

Yes, that was PI, but you realize you still scored a td that drive right?!? Heck, we had a TD called back..,

Not sure how many people on this forum are familiar with Rick and Morty, but MSU is definitely the Jerry of the Big Sky. UM is Beth, and EWU is Rick. :coffee:

Thanks, 92. We have a lot of work to do to be playoff ready. Not sure what the general temp is on Choate, and not that it mattered at the end, but going for 2 when he did was dumb. Do you guys just not trust your kicker at all? Did he get sick before the trip? Hope you guys beat the Griz... always a good read on eGriz afterward.

Nice post. Good luck to the Bobcats the rest of the season. And as always FTG.

I agree. Forte was an excellent back for EWU and we haven't had one as good since. Custer could end up being just as good but he is still young. Sam McPherson is a good all around back as well.

Overall this was a good win. Even the best teams are going to get tested throughout the season it just comes down to how well you handle the adversity. And we have handled it well in games against Montana, Cal Davis and MSU. On to the next one!

So interesting stat, unrelated to this game and goes back to the Montana game, but I didn't realize it until today, Eastern has won their most recent road game at every venue in the Big Sky. With how tough this conference is and how tough it can be to win on the road I thought that was very impressive. Some of those wins go back a ways, Eastern hasn't played in Ogden since 2012, for example, but I still though it was kind of cool.

2012
Weber State W 32-26

2013
North Dakota W 35-14

2014
Southern Utah W 42-30

2015
Sacramento State W 28-20
Idaho State W 45-28
Northern Colorado W 43-41

2016
Northern Arizona W 50-35
Montana State W 41-17
Cal Poly W 42-21
Portland State W 35-28

2017
Montana W 48-41
UC Davis W 41-38

Sorry, but no pity for the kitty. :tothehand:

Congrats to EWU you have a good team, I will cheer for you in the playoffs. Like I said I think we are a year away from competing with top BSC teams. I don't think either team played particularly well in the game but the outcome was about what I expected.
