Montana @ Weber, Quarterfinal

It'll be JMU vs. the winner of our game, so back east the victor goes...weather back there similar, in the 30s, fog, wet & small crowd. Hope Weber State's crowd outsizes JMU but it's probably going to be about the same too.

>>>>>>>WILDCATS GOING TO THE SEMI-FINALS>>>>>HERE COME THE WILDCATS, JMU, FOR A 2ND VISIT HOPEFULLY A WIN THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Sneed's best receivers were wearing Black & Purple.

Our D won us that game.

Redemption felt quite good.

Reminded me a lot of the SUU playoff game from a few years back.

I don't think we could have asked for better Weber State weather. Our D was reading Sneeds eyes and it paid off. This was a good win for the program.

I think foul weather is going to favor the Griz.

How so?

your long snapper/punter have been having trouble in decent weather and I think our receivers will be less affected by it than your DB's.

I only remember one out-of-character game where that was the case. Aside from that game Weber's special teams as a whole has been quite good.

Congrats to Weber they never gave up. I hope they beat JMU and I think they have chance. Be nice to see Two BSC teams in the championship. Regardless if they make it or not they proved they deseved the shot.

That game reminded me of Weber State’s game last year vs EWU. The defense and special teams pretty much won that game on their own. This game, the offense had a good drive and TD, but couldn’t get it going other than that.

It was a fun game to watch between two very good teams in some rough weather. Clearly, the Big Sky is toughest conference from top to bottom.

I think they have a decent shot vs JMU, but they will need the offense to up their game. It would be fun for an all Big Sky Championship...outside shot, but both teams are very capable.

Congrats to Montana on a good season.

Go Wildcats! Keep finding ways to win.

I hope Josh Davis is ok. Hard to say if it was just stinger on his hip that messed with his nerves or a real serious injury. He was tough to power thru on that pass td.

That was an awesome game!! Both defenses were dialed in yesterday and played with a lot of heart. My hats off to Montana. They never gave up and kept playing hard. Congrats on a great season Griz!

Honestly, I’m emotionally spent. That was a crazy game!

IMO, the weather advantage went to UM in this game because of their superior passing attack. It's harder on the DBs to react to receivers in slick conditions. That proved to be true except that our defense was able to turn them over 5 times and totally shut their running game down. On the other hand, they pretty much shut us down as well. If you like defense, this was a great game. I loved that UM had a big crowd come down with them. It made for a great atmosphere. Considering the weather, the crowd was good.

Onward and upward. :coffee:

I’m curious if we do anything different to stop Toure. Hill hasn’t run many designer coverages to take a specific WR out of a game in his tenure. We usually just stack the box, play man to man, and challenge the opponent. Either way, Heckard and Collins have their work cut out for them.

Congrat's Wildcats on an impressive win. This game against the Griz had me nervous all week and all game long. What a ride.

I could just imagine how the older folks would react if our students started chanting something like that
