@ MSU Game Day Thread

That’s what happens when you drop back and play soft underneath. The other team scores. I’m sorry, I just don’t like it. That defense is playing not to lose, not playing to win.

Congrats to EWU. You guess played a good game. Your D is playing well as well as O. You guys look like a playoff team. Good luck the rest of the season.

I’m glad we won. Minus 3-4 series, the defense played well and made some big plays.

I was really disappointed in the play of the WR’s. Just a ton of dropped balls out there, and all the penalties (many on receivers) was just plain unacceptable. We gotta clean that up.

The O-line, RB’s, and special teams get an A from me. The D gets a solid B.

WR’s played well below their potential and thus get a D+.

All of this right here. The wideouts stunk it up in this game. Webster was a total non-factor and Grady dropped about 10 balls when he wasn’t holding someone on a bubble screen. Hate to name players, but those guys are Senior leaders and should be playing smarter than that and making plays when they’re needed. Coaches, you need to get Limu-Jones on the field, stat.

Good win!! We left about 14-20 pts off the board with bad receiver play but that was a good win. Our running game is rolling...

Surprised MSU wasn’t better, considering it’s Choate’s 3rd year you’d think they’d improve a bit more...

A solid win...the best part coulda played better...we're gonna get better and better.

Good win against a quality opponent. I think MSU will win a lot of games this year and maybe even beat Montana again. I think maybe their offense may not win them games in the playoffs, but we shall see. A few thoughts on the game.

1) O line play continues to impress. Gage had all day to throw and of course, there’s a marked improvement in our ability to run the ball this year.

2) The MSU defense was good. They really kept Gubrud contained in the pocket for the most part and made plays in the secondary.

3) The penalties are killing me. We seem to have more than usual this year. It needs to be addressed and I’m sure it will be.

4) Our receivers had a rough day. You simply can’t drop the number of balls they did today against a better team. The D and the running game bailed them out today. They need to take this performance personally and get after it because there’s going to be games where we’re going to need them to bail us out.

5) Already mentioned, Special teams play this year is really good. Kudos.

6) Great performance by the D. We got conservative towards the end and gave up a garbage time, TD, but overall a solid performance.

Looking forward to getting back to the red and getting some revenge on SUU next week.

Tons of points left on the field! I think this team will continue to grow as the season and unfolds and be ready for the playoffs when the time comes.

Hmm, I thought they were a pretty good team. Bear in mind we are msu’s kryptonite. Today makes it 7 straight against them going back to 2011.

I think this team is headed to Frisco
