Yeah but when you settle for field goals when you get turn overs handed to you on a silver platter you will lose. Also, we could have had 10 downs from the 2 and we wouldn't have scored and made a 2 point conversion the play execution wasn't there and even the body language could tell you we knew we would lose.

Beyond that I'm not sure why NAU is celebrating like they just won the Super Bowl, that's worse then the time I stole some candy from a babay and then did the Icky Shuffle.

I agree, they should've gone for it on 4th at least one of those times. Also why would you be running that spread O when you're at the 2? Run some playing action out of the goal line or something.

Watched this entire game and even when we improve on some levels we get worse in others....tonight the offense looked better but the d looked terrible....With our O-line we cannot have any qb especially a pocket passer waiting to find open guys cause as it has been seen this year he gets sacked a lot!...and wtf were they thinking to spike the ball with a timeout on the 3 yard line...thats the kinda stuff that happens when you have BAD COACHING!!!

In my eyes improvement comes in the form of victories with a team that has won 1 game the past 2 years and is on there way to following that pattern once again, changes have got to be made! As an alumni i cannot stand seeing my school falter and make pee wee mistakes such as that spike on 1st and goal! we need new coaches PLEASE FIRE SCOTT DOWNING AND THE DENNIS DARNELL....and show that your trying to progress with a new staff. Right now this school is showing no progress whats so ever and if look at other programs they have been getting better each year( basketball and volleyball). I don't know how many more 1 win season i can take...especially if they come at the hands of Scott Downing! FIRE HIM PLEASE! It will give this program hope for change!

How can you question Downing? This is a guy that plays his 260 lb. kid as a fullback. Call O'Boyle, call Joe Ramunno, call Kay Dalton.

It's hard to even watch or listen to another game. The coaching staff is a disgrace to the University and to the alumni.

The Bears aren't as bad as some of the posters here think. Your pass offense was sharp and your defense did a good job in the first half.

The Lumberjacks aren't as good as I was hoping they'd be by this point of the season. Their defense is a patchwork quilt with 6-7 pieces missing now. NAU has a history of playing lethargic after games versus the Grizzlies (true to form in the first half but seemed to step it up in the second half).

Add these things together and you get a closer game than many expected. I'm happy NAU won but am also happy that the Bears made a game of it and were in it til the end.

I only caught the first half on the internet and the last 2 minutes on the radio. The stat that jumps out is how Northern Colorado were able to dominate, yes, dominate the time of possession and only come out of the game with 55 yards rushing. I don't think I've ever seen that happen.

I agree we played better but a loss is a loss.

I can see us beating PSU next week at homecoming. They were torn apart by Sac St. today.

Yes they are... 4 wins in 4 years is as bad as we think...
