• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Not enough offensive diversity. That INt was only our third play all game where we tried a vertical route. Even if you don’t complete those balls with regularity, you gotta try them sometimes just to show that you’re willing. And even without that, you can’t give up the number of 3rd down (especially 3rd and long) conversions. Our defense is mortifying. Best needs a complete rethink on that side of the ball. Additionally, we need about 8 new players to transfer in to make that unit work. A couple DTs, a DE or two, and a full complement of new safeties. The guys we got aren’t capable.

Bringing some guys in for added competition wouldn't hurt. I wonder if they retain Eric Sanders. It doesn't seem like the defense has improved that much under his leadership.

I’d pass. Why we never thought Anthony James could play is a mystery. Maybe he just stunk it up in practice, but it’s very hard for me to believe he wasn’t good enough to be an impact guy. In fact, the only defensive transfer that saw the field was the LB from Boise State, and that was still very little on field time. If the defense is so complicated that new guys can’t learn, that ought to tell you enough to change up the scheme to something more simple.

It is weird. Only thing I can think of is we usually redshirt high school recruits. Maybe we redshirted the transfers to learn the system cause the coaches knew they wouldn't be fired after this year. Only thing I can think of and its kinda dumb.
