New Baseball Conference

Looks like a new baseball conference will be formed, the question is will UNC be involved?

It's interesting that our old GWFC is exploring becoming an all sports conference. I can't imagine it would object to UNC being a baseball only member if it ever transpired but I would rather see us join the WAC or MWC.

The Great West Conference has formed and currently only have 5 baseball schools and are looking for more...

Seems like a no brainer at this point unless there is something cooking elsewhere but that is looking very doubtfull from what we've heard in the past.

These are all teams we play (UTPA, Utah Valley) or have played (N. Dakota) with the addition of Houston Baptist and New Jersey Tech so I'd think this should fit for the next 5 to 10 years until we can get scholarships up and get Jackson up to snuff and then maybe have better options.

The Great West it is, announced today as I thought might happen, yes, I know it's impressive I got this one right, that's a first. :shock:

Get ready for some home games with New York Tech, Chicago State, Houston Baptist, New Jersey Tech, North Dakota, Texas-Pan American and Utah Valley.

Having home games will be nice and yes a bit of a motley crew but also we should compete for the conference championship every year.
