Thanks Willie! Yeah, I like the new beat as well. The old one looked like he was in the process of getting a rectal exam.
 
I also like the new logo ! I just hope our football program survives another year. Or is it just me that needs to survive it ?

Beardown......regarding correlation.....Most top tier high school programs rotate/change their uniforms based on a) their revenue and/or a district manipulated schedule. A helmet change is easy......when the helmets are sent in for annual reconditioning/recertification, it's a simple adjustment to paint them a different color. Logos/ stickers are readily ordered and applied.
Information relating to new coaches altering or tweaking a teams look is readily available on Google.
I am also basing my observation on what I have seen over the last thirty-seven years that I have served as an assistant coach, and part of nine different staffs.

Some of the players are saying that they might get an all white uniform this year. That includes the helmet. As long as we get rid of the pants with the stripes that outline the sciatica nerves L1 & L2.

I too have always hated those stripes ! We can do better !
 
How about that bear head as the helmet logo? The letters on the helmet in the mock up posted here aren't too exciting.
 
Found this nugget online that explains the change in logo's. It's an interview (not from anyone at UNC) from the company that helped design the new style. Essentially they school aimed at creating something that wasn't as "fierce" rather wanted something more "stern" looking, because the logo will be used not only for athletics but for academics. They're phasing out the logo with the bear howling at the moon - which I was never a fan of. Anyways, here's the article.

with navy facemasks. New jerseys are all navy with a yellow & White shoulder stripe and yellow numbers. Navy pants. should look sharp. I hated the last jerseys and pants but loved the navy helmet. Will miss the NC on the helmet.
 
UNC's colors are Blue and Gold (technically purple and gold), not yellow and blue. This should not sit well with faithful Bear fans. :thumbdown:
 
Have they posted a picture of the uniforms anywhere or is this another of those UNC things where it's a big secret when there's absolutely no reason for it to be?
 
I know I'm always complaining but I have to admit I kind of like them... maybe a change was due... does anyone else in the conference wear a yellow helmet? I'm drawing a blank at the moment but I don't think so which is cool if we're the only one.
