I know I've taken some shots at Bovee for the scheduling woes, but where'swaldo is right. Bovee was put in a really rough spot. He was stuck in a department full of idiots, and told to make gold out of straw.

Also, Weber better be getting a shiz load of cash for these games.
If I'm correct, Bovee was already part of the "department full of idiots".

No, his only responsibilities related to athletics in his previous job were dealing with the academic coordinator and the compliance staff. If there's one person responsible for saving WSU football (and the entire athletic department as well) from APR hell, it's Jerry Bovee. Without his leadership, it's quite possible that football's APR could have prevented every other sports program from participating in NCAA tournaments.

That is a mighty fine recommendation, Waldo!

So Boston College AND Texas Tech? Our home game better be an FCS team. Bring on UC DAVIS, North Dakota State or even South Dakota State.

I've heard other rumours of a possible FCS game away, but I'll leave that one up to the board member telling me such things to post it. Thats the only way Weber is going to get an FCS game this late in the scheduling process, which means only 4 home games next season. I've heard that the other OCC game, the FCS one, is close by so...

Does anyone know how much Weber is making from these two games? I bet Weber is making about the same as this season, since the games were scheduled so dang late.

I wouldn't say that the season is automatically over. Lets look at the positives. 1. The administration will get to cut back the normal amount of marketing work they'd do to from five games to four games which in all seriousness wont change a damn thing. 2. Home games against Eastern and Montana, that nobody in the community will know about. 3. The PPAK will only have to put boards up four times next year but not to worry they will be up the entire football season and most likely into the basketball season 4. W & M did beat an ACC team this season, why can't we, this isn't suppose to be sarcastic. 5. Texas Tech doesn't have the greatest defense, after all they did allow Baylor to score three TD's 6. The department will, in all likelyhood, promise the Weber State faithful that there will be a number of plans, which are being developed, with the intention of cultivating and growing the athletic programs at Weber (I'm still waiting on the one that was promised in 2004).

Aw, heck, the glass is not only half full, it is overflowing!

This is a fantastic schedule!!! W-4ever is full of it!

-Nine winnable FCS games.
-Montana and Eastern Washington at home.
-NO DII games.
-Couple of money games with TV potential.

I will be attending the Tech game. Anyone else going to the Tech or Boston College games?
