Looks like I knew what the hell I was talking about yet again. As much as others questioned me (Tal) I was dead on on this one a few months ago.

I have heard that we are requesting to play St. Johns in our first game. That would be a great game for us. Here's hoping that we get what we want.

I was just saying where AJ got his information and that the information he got was sound. More than anything else, I was supporting AJ's statement.[/quote]

Past quote, April 05...

Since we were at the same luncheon, how was I disagreeing with you. I already apologized on this thread about not seeing the date on the article that didn't mention Weber as being among the teams for the 2010 tourny, and since coach said "MIGHT" at the luncheon, I wasn't taking anything for granted.

Yawn...

We really need football to get going, and then the purple and white game.

This is the best tournament we've been in in years. Too bad though its only 3 games since there are 8 teams.

We have to beat a DII to get to ASU in the 2nd round it looks like.

In 2003 at the tourney in fairbanks we lost to a DII yet finished 30th in the nation and a 12 seed lol. Does anyone remember that game? According to ESPN we played 2 games in one day. Is that right?

November 24 at Ball State W 72-67 2-0
November 24 at Alaska L 77-65 2-1

That would explain losing to a DII. Also the same thing happened in 2008. The only way a Canadian team beat us was by making us play another game earlier that day, Calgary, the hosting school only played just us that day.

2007-08 Schedule 10-6 (16-14)
Battle of the Border Tournament Calgary, AL
Sep 1 Lethbridge Calgary, AL W 97-31
Sep 2 Mt Royal All-Stars Calgary, AL W 85-42
Sep 2 Calgary Calgary, AL L 81-74
Sep 3 Saskatchewan Calgary, AL W 95-76

The Utah game will be Saturday, November 20 in Salt Lake City, three days after the Utes host Montana.

Does anybody have any new info on who else we play this coming year or when the schedule will be released?
We play at Southern Utah on Saturday December 11th.

Good guess thus far. What can we expect for the blank dates? Most likely a DII and one more DI and hopefully all at the Dee to give us a full schedule of home games.

The last 3 seasons we have played 28-30 regular season games.

The Alaska tourney only counts as one game towards the max allowed. I'm not sure how many open spots that would leave us. We may be able to have another game or two. A holiday tournement might be nice.
