The best part of this thread is that you didn't start it Olds. So you can't delete it when you get your feelings hurt. I was very disappointed when you decided to delete all 7 pages of the "looking ahead" thread you started last year. There was lots of good information as well as some predictions that were way off.

I did delete some things when I could see that they were just spawning negative comments and personal attacks. I'm truly sorry if you were injured in any way.

Talking about predictions!! YIKES...mine was terrible. I wasn't even in left field. I was in the parking lot somewhere. SUU had the talent to win, but like Weber, there were a lot of players who happened to play on a team, but weren't part of a team. They just couldn't put it together.

Not going to use the Hein excuses of we were too young or injuries. Yes, we had injuries, but we also, had 14 guys who could contribute and participate and Rahe chose to only play 7 most of the season. Of those 7, four were upper-classmen. I do think Weber is a bit better with a healthy Kupsas. He gives the Cats another 8ppg, 4/5 rpg, and 1/2 asp. Also, he is a good defender. So, losing him the second game of the season hurts. That is really the only injury that hurt the entire season.

I'm a huge fan of Davis and feel he is someone who can lead and will be listen to more next season. But, when he went down, Randy had a guy named Barns who is exactly like Davis and he rarely sniffed the floor. Probably because he wants to get a real degree. Hardings injuries definitely hurt the Cats, but Randy burned him out. By the end of the season, the guys legs were completely gone. He burned KJ and Judah's redshirts but only played them 5-10 combined to close out the season. He had guys who could contribute, but...I could go on and on and on...I won't. We all saw the issues. I'm just frustrated by the excuses and how little was done to actually find solutions to those excuses. I feel Judah could have played 5-10 getting Cody off the floor for a bit. KJ and Barns both could have helped Harding and Davis. And by playing these guys more, your starters have more at the end...Ugh

There was a compilation of basketball stories a few days ago in the Standard-Examiner Hein wrote. I couldn’t even get through them all. Same recycled excuses. It’s really sad Weber State is the only team that has to battle injuries every year.

Rahe also saying he won’t coach until he’s 80 so he gets more energy every year is ridiculous. It’s very apparent he’s coasting out his career. He might even be glad if he gets bought out a couple of years early so he can get a head start on retirement.

I haven’t seen any assistant coaches canned, so I doubt he really cares to start improving. I guess we can look forward to more of the weave offense.

Here’s an interesting question, if the upcoming season were cancelled, would that not count against his contract? Is it seasons played, or through the year 2024?

I think the crowds will be so small that everyone can have a row to themselves, so social distancing should not be a problem. Lately the defense is so poor that good social distancing would be followed by the team as well.

Am I understanding it correctly that as of next week, April 1st, Rahe's contract buyout adjusts to a flat $400K? Down from the current $650K buyout? I just assumed his buyout would be for the remaining years of the contract, but it doesn't appear that was the case.

DeCuire made a $220,000 bonus last season based on income from money games. So his total compensation was probably north of $00 K.
