Now while the go for two on the final play could have gone either way. JG would be hailed for making a ballsy call if it would have worked or as an idiot if it did not. I think that he had faith that the team could have done it, so either way it was a hard fought game which except for a few bad breaks we could have won. I don't think I am far off the mark in calling it a transation year from the Walsh philosophy to the JG one.

Well said Casey, hope you had a good time.

I'll still be a fan, and I know the others on this board will be too, but I think the newfound excitement around the program is going to dwindle quickly.
I agree that some didn't deserve to win this game, but I don't think NAU did either if that's the case. I praise the guys who put their hearts on the line today only to have them stepped on.
True, but we are not the Cowboys; we are not an established team (mediawise). Think about people's reactions if the thing had succeeded and we had won the game by one point. I see Glanville as 50% coach and 50% marketing guy/attention whore - attention being the one thing the Vikings need more than wins. From this perspective, it was a very consequent and brave thing to do for the Vikings, and they certainly proved balls today.WiViking said:I'm sorry.
