Game day and nothing posted? Things must be bad. I personally think this will be a close game and probably will help decide which team has a terrible season versus just a normal bad season. The Aggies last week seemed to be making a move upward getting their first win against NAU.

Northern Colorado versus UC Davis

Since it was homecoming, I decided to make the trip up. I enjoyed myself before and during the game. Here are my takeaways:
1. Great job by the marketing department with the pre-game festivities. This has gotten better and better under Dunn, which is no surprise as marketing is his background. Awesome job.
2. Knipp is clearly the best QB on the roster. I said at the beginning of the year, that if the QB job was even remotely close, that you gotta go with the freshman. I know there have been rumors about daddy calling in, but Knipp is so much more advanced in terms of arm strength and natural ability than Newsome. I love Newsome, but he doesn't even compare in terms of arm, vision, height, strength...
3. UC Davis is terrible.
4. They are terrible, but we dominated them physically in every facet. That was fun to watch, even if they suck.
5. Collins is definitely keeping his job. All he has to do is win one game in the next four, and he goes .500. Huge improvement, he can argue.
6. I see us winning two more games and finishing 6-4. .... Not sure how I feel about this. Great to see improvement, but is this the right coaching staff? We are playing the easiest Big Sky schedule. A 5-5 or 6-4 record looks great to Admin, but how legit is it?

I watched the game on TV. And could not believe what I was watching ! Granted it was a bad UC Davis team but hats off to the kids ! A very fun game to watch for a change ! Go Bears

Don't worry about the coaching situation, that will be played out in the offseason. Let's just enjoy the victory and be happy for the student-athletes. We were picked to finish last in this conference and we are looking at finishing above .500.
I agree UC Davis is pretty bad, but they played well at Montana and beat a solid NAU team. We crushed them like we used to do when we were D2. That's the most complete performance that I've seen this team do in over 10 years. I'll take it. Up next, a much better opponent in Eastern Washington.

Great game! Well played and well coached. I was curious if Whye was hurt, or why he didn't see the field even at end? Will be fun to see how we play against EWU next week. I know this, the boys were fired up to play this week and it showed. Let's see i they can bring that same intensity to this next opponent - they will need it, but no reason not to be fired up.

The Bears haven't looked that good in ten years. I can't believe how poorly Davis tackled. Hopefully there is something left for EWU. :thumb:
