NAU got a great win for the conference by beating #7 and #11 ranked, and previously unbeaten, Illinois St 37-16 in Flagstaff. The conference goes 3-5 (3-3 in home games) vs the MVFC.

In conference games, MSU beats PSU in Bozeman, UND beats UNC in Grand Forks, UM beats ISU in Pocatello, SUU beats Poly in Cedar, and EWU comes from being down 11 in the 4th to beat UCD in Davis.

Current Standings

Man Davis came close
IMHO, neither UCD or EWU have a defense. UCD's DBs are slow. Their pass coverages are lacking. If either team had a defense, they win that game easily. It was a track meet.

The SUU game was not about defense, or the lack there of, it was about SLO's lack of a passing attack and inability to sustain a running game.

In our game with SUU, our defense will be able to set the tone early. I'm sure that SUU will throw everything they have at us. SUU hasn't seen a defense like ours.
