Official Big Sky Conference Tourney Thread

Tres getting in foul trouble almost ruined us! Bolomboy stepped up BIG. Tomorrow Tres stays out of foul trouble and our 3's are going to be raining and hitting the bottom of the net! Bring it on!!!!

Wow, I don't know how much longer I am going to live at this rate, you know what they say, Good teams find ways to win, but we have to give mondo credit to North Dakota, these guys are good. Way different team than the one we played twice before, great core of players and they played with a lot of emotion, I am sold on thier addition to the Big Sky, good football and hoops team.

Great job Weber, BOLOMBOY, BAMFORTH AND BERRY ARE AWESOME

Damn Wheelwright. Can he play any more stupid?
Agreed. He's been more of a liability than an asset for Weber this year. He's so lazy with the ball and jacks up terrible jumpers on the fly. He plays like a street baller with no discipline. He sinks needed buckets every now and again, but more often than not, he's good for turnovers and fouls rather than assists and points. :ohno:

Montana looking like Montana right now, Cherry jacking up threes left and right and bricking every one of them.
Jamar and #24 playing pretty good.

Big hair net guy for UNC is playing well, UNC doesn't seem to realize that UM is venerable inside, jacking up a lot of outside shots.

Anybody else notice that on this Big Sky conference commercial, there is not one highlight of Weber State at all? Weber is a charter member of this conference, and they don't show us at all. whatever big sky

Oh, that thing... Yeah, that has neglected WSU for quite some time. Been the same for a few years.

I was so frustrated, watching how poorly we were doing and how well UND was doing, that I nearly shut off my laptop. However, I figured we would climb back into the game. I just didn't think we would make it such a nail biter. You have to hand it to UND. They played an incredible game. That was not the same team we played in Ogden a few months ago. That was the worst interior defense we have played all year long. We made their two bigs look like freaking all Americans. Part of that was Tres getting into foul trouble, but most of it was laziness on helping when they would slip the high pick and roll. UNDs coaches had them well prepared for what they had seen as a way to exploit a weakness in our help D. I hope we get that straitened out by tomorrow. :wtf:

I will be spending Saturday night in Flagstaff. If my hotel doesn't have ESPNU, what is a good sports bar to watch the game from?

Can anyone help me with this?

How about it, Mt Jack? Where can I get an Arizona, adult beverage and watch the game?

Old Runner, try the Beaver Street Brewery, it is just north of NAU campus, they have a few TVs scattered throughout. To be sure of getting the game, Buffalo Wild Wings would have the channel and plenty of TVs to show the game. They are west of NAU in a shopping area.

I will concur with heyoh that Beaver St. Brewery is one of my favorites in town....but....it's a restaurant first and a bar/sports bar second. Brews and Cues is an off-shoot, attached pool hall right next door. A little bit more open space and interspersed tvs to watch. You may have better luck there? It's my favorite brew out of the three local microbreweries.

Granny's Closet, near the intersection of Milton and Rt. 66 (railroad trestle....overpass...heading towards downtown), was usually my choice due to proximity. I'd have to guess that this is your best shot based on how things were when I lived up there.

Collins Pub in downtown has a bunch of tvs. Love that bar during the day and off-hours. Hate it on a busy, late Friday or Saturday night though. The place was packed to the gills for a UFC fight when I visited Flagstaff in November. I guess I really don't know if they cater to other sports?

Buffalo Wild Wings has to be like all the others and will provide many tvs to choose from.

Call around and see what they have to offer.

My favorite regular bars, both downtown, for a drink would be The Monte Vista Lounge (Monte Vista Hotel basement) or Charleys (the first floor and upstairs balcony of The Weatherford Hotel). Two local watering holes with minimum number of drunk, arsehole frat/urban white gangster types and some history/style.

Good luck, oldrunner. Stay away from my statue! ;-)

Seems to be redeeming himself over the last couple of minutes of this first half!

You're welcome Montana! - love Big Sky Refs.

I give it to Cherry for the big 3 though. But they let Montana make their plays and took the ball out of our hands in the last minute. Damn Ref's!

Montana is a very good team. Good luck in the tourney.

Congrats to our team on an amazing year. One we won't forget!
We deserved better...

The refs were bad both ways til the end when they gave the game Montana. That charge call against Berry was the game winning play for Montana.
