@ Oregon St

Well, lets get this thing going. I'm definitely not going to predict a win for the Cats. I'm thinking that a score similar to last seasons loss to Arizona State will most likely be the final for this game. Yet, I feel, if the Cats can keep it within in 21 and keep the Beaver starters in the game till the 4th quarter that the players can take a moral victory from the game and can hang their heads high. Anything closer would be awesome. I'm not much for predicting the score, but since I really feel this game is a loss, I'm thinking the final will be a 45-24 type affair.

Things to take into account. Oregon State lost most of their offense from last season. Have a brand new coach with a new system. In the past, Oregon State was primarily a pass offense, which I think will continue with McGiven as the OC, but due to Anderson's past, I wouldn't doubt that he is transforming the Bevs into more of a power offense. I'd love to see a 38-28 type score.

The 2-deep had some shocks to it. I was taken back that AJ Wilcox isn't a starter and that Jared Afalava isn't the starting MLB. He did miss a good chunk of camp with an injury so that might be the reason. Other shocks, Devonte Johnson starting after not really playing much the past two seasons. He had a great freshman season, but hasn't seen the field since. Wasn't he one of the players who go in trouble with math? If so, you have to admire him for sticking with the program and putting himself in a position to start as a senior. I'm excited, our defense is going to be pretty good this season.

I am ready. No score expectations. Just want to see them play tough and execute. I want to see a mentality shift.

I don't think the Cats will win either but am hoping for a result that the Cats can feel good about. It they can lose by 10 points or less, that might do it.

The Cats need to have some confidence going into the NDSU next week. NDSU is going to look to pound the Cats after their close loss to Montana the other day.

I think it shows that NDSU is not invisible.

Sounds like NDSU QB may miss the Weber game. High ankle sprain.

Lets get this going!

No, I don't see the Cats winning this game, but I think we will be competitive. Should be fun! Just glad that football is back.

Lots of connections between both staffs.

WOW!! That is absolutely crazy.

The more I read about Oregon State, the more I'm convinced that Gary has quite the job ahead of him. Mike Riley didn't really leave him with much in the cupboards to build upon. He has a lot of work ahead of him.

If we run the ball hard and get after those freshman QBs who knows what could happen. Our linebackers could have a great impact on this one. I see some interceptions too.

Game Day!! Let's get this thing going!

Gotta be impressed with SUU's game last night against the Aggies. Gary Anderson's boys are mostly gone. USU might be sliding back? Or is SUU that good? From what I saw, it really didn't seem like the two teams were that great. Missed assignments, penalties, and offensive issues all over the place.

But it got me thinking, maybe Fullertons right? The Sky might not be too far away from the MW.

Pumped up for this one even more after watching SUU put a scare into the Aggies. Hoping the Cats can do the same tonight. I know OSU is supposed to be on a different level than USU, but the Beavers don't look to be very good as far as PAC-12 teams go. They don't return much on the offensive side, will be starting a freshman at QB (all three of their QBs are freshman), and installing a new offense. Could be a good night for the Weber defense.

This should give us some hope.

Last three games vs Big Sky:
2014 W OSU 29 PSU 14
2013 L OSU 46 EWU 49
2011 L OSU 28 Sac St 29

Boy the D sure looks good (knock on wood). QB Clark is leaving something to be desired to put it lightly. Has only thrown one good ball and it was dropped.
